Upon first impressions the restaurant looks inviting charming and comfortable, less school dinner hall layout like the others and more on par with a coffee shop ,with IKEA style tables and chairs which you can really relax in. Had a nice ambience of mood lighting furnishing and music. However really surprised at the low quality of the food considering this is a well known Canadian chain I’d of expected higher standards especially as you need to take out a mortgage to eat there! Easy to order on the touch screen so you can add or take away food depending on your taste and budget. £8 for a meal deal, when you are a family of 4 is eye watering though and something I’ll never forget, but as it’s a new concept to the uk thought we’d give it a shot as I know their fresh brew coffee is pretty good. So much choice on the menu you often don’t know where to start, but it’s pot luck on getting something you’ll like, sitting there thinking maybe should of made the effort to do the full circuit on Tavistock road just to have what we know best, but we thought we would live and learn, nothing ventured nothing gained. What was surprising was the place was half empty, so this should of been a massive clue. The burgers were like another comment said, kebab shop / fairground quality, spongy mushy (beef?) patties, cheap tasting, even similar to a snacksters micro burger!! Patties were too big for the bun and slipping out into the strange piece of foil it was wrapped in. Weird flavourless meat couldn’t work out if they needed more seasoning, so threw a load of salt on them. Supermarket lattice fries which were all stuck together, milkshakes which are synthetic tasting, watery as full of slushy ice which will give you stomach freeze. If the food wasn’t smothered in sauce and salt it would of been almost inedible, family disappointed and cursing us for not eating at other choices close by, really hoped this place would be a little taste of Canada and worth it.

It promises so much but delivered so little. Our first, and probably only visit to any Tim Hortons. The automatic ordering system is now commonplace in many fast food establishments. This one is a little less obvious. However, once you get the hang of the nested menus and that it's very difficult to cancel and items untill the end. And, it's a vast menu. So many options, Meat patty burgers, Chicken fillet sandwiches, etc. We ordered a simple hot dog, a chilli cheese burger and a chicken sandwich. All as meals, all with a drink. The hot dog was a standard weener, one of those 6 for a pound in a jar Tesco ones. The fries were OK. Not greasy. And the hot dog was OK. So why the low score. Firstly, the food was warm not hot. Obviously to a legally warm standard, but indications that it wasn't freshly cooked. The roll had some nice stale crunchy parts and soft squishy parts where the chilly dressing had seeped into the bun. No flavour of chilli. The patty reminded me of wimpy burger patties. The squashed cheap IQF beef burgers. But with much less seasoning. The hot dog was warm not hot, and the chicken sandwich was similar. If the place was busy, I could forgive and go again to retry. However, six people standing around, only 1 person cleaning tables (which we had to clean ourselves). What's more, it was quite. Only three orders on the go in the restaurant. Pity, could have been so much better.

TRULY DREADFUL If you like to wait ages for your order and overpay for basic food, only for it to arrive like it was flattened by a diseased foot - then this is the place for you. Like all Timmy's in the UK - the permeating stench of stale cooking oil overpowers the sit down area, so everything tastes like fried beef ... donuts, coffee, chicken .. everything except the actual beef burgers. I had one labelled as a chilli-cheese burger, only to find no chilli, what tasted like sugar and the weirdest aftertaste known to man. If they advertise a specialty coffee (popcorn latte, caramel s'mores latte) - avoid these like the plague, because they will all be terrible. The only reason why it's a two star and not a one star rating is because the standard things are okay. Basic coffee and donuts. But you'd have to be an idiot to repeatedly eat here ... I guess that makes me the idiot?!

Utterly appalling experience at @timhortonsuk in #plymouth today. Only vegan breakfast option was a hash brown, so no meal deal and £5 for a strawberry refresher and a hash brown. Yet a 3 piece breakfast meal was £3.49 All the hash browns were poorly cooked, soggy and sweaty in the middle and were basically cold Main meals which looked good were being served until at least 11:30 (we got there at 10:30) but they couldn't be sure when it would start No alternative milks available in any hot drinks yet iced Alpro coffees were on Staff were rushed off their feet, bins were not emptied and were overflowing. Place was disgusting. No app to order from and only 4 machines that had at least 2 people waiting at them So @timhortonsuk I won't be coming back ever I'm afraid. If I could give zero stars I would

First time to this restaurant chain and have to say it like a cross between maccy d's and a Costa. Unfortunately that's where similarity ends. Coffee, nowhere close to Costa standard. Food, OK but had better at mc d's (and im hardly their best customer) Placed order on machine and a number was produced. Waited just over 13 mins and the number shouted out. I go to counter, trying to get past numerous deliveroo guys who won't get out of the way! The guys puts my bags of food on a tray, pushes it toward me then turns and shouts something to a colleague. That's it. Cleanliness, nowhere close to mc d's Staff attitude, no where close to Costa or mc d's Food OK, nothing special. Coffee not great. Can see no reason to return. Sad cos thought could be a good alternative

The restaurant was clean, tidy, easy to order our food on the screens and the food arrived quickly. Everything we had was nice, except there were items missing from the bag, but we had already driven away for our day trip out and were too far to turn around and sort it. A hashbrown missing from a breakfast meal and my husbands glazed doughnut. Also when we shared my lemon meringue doughnut later we found the inside was filled with chocolate instead of lemon, which doesn't bother me but from an allergy point of view that could be an issue for someone. This store has recently opened so hopefully just teething problems that can be sorted with a bit more training. Hoping out next visit will be better
