KFC Plymouth - Crown Hill Retail Park — Restaurant in Plymouth

As I previously wrote a poor review bemoaning bad service at another KFC in town earlier and received such good service here I thought I'd give them a fair write up too.

I thought ahead this time as I was across the retail park and so ordered on the app. I then went in to use the loos which were in great shape. When I came out though there was a large queue forming so I initially joined it whilst I referred to my app. It took me a while to notice the small bar at the top of this app that told me my order was ready.

I noticed my number was a few behind what was being served so went ahead to the collection point and asked. Though they were unsure they checked on my order for me and couldn't find it so asked what I'd ordered. This lead again to some confusion as I'd not ordered a meal which I normally do and id also received free wings on the app.

Anyway after this was sorted they did my order. I'd been there a while so I'd decided a coke sounded a good idea after all and asked how much a small coke would be. They asked what drink I'd like and served me one. When I asked if they're like me to pay, they said it was on them for all the inconvenience.

Well, it couldn't have been more the opposite of the experience in the union st KFC. They turned what could have been a bit if a pain in the arse customer experience into a pleasant one. That is how you do customer experience.

There was loads of people in the shop, loads of orders and delivery drivers in to collect and they still took the time to sort a customer out and even thought to give them a drink when they had been waiting.

The food of course was the usual Colonels finger...

I have not dined in a KFC for many many years and I am in no rush to return to one. There was 4 people, over 2 tables, inside eating when we arrived. There was food all over the floors and tables. There was not a single table that had been cleared and wiped in the whole restaurant. We sat at a table with our kids and I wiped the table with our baby wipes and anti bac from the car. I would have walked out if my kids and partner weren't so set on having KFC for tea. There was 3 members of staff having a chat behind the counter who watched me clean the table but still did not come out to clear the other table. The food prices are just extortionate in my opinion. Mcdonald is much more affordable and a considerably cleaner establishment. A family arrived after us and their son was stood on a table with shoes on. No staff said anything and they certainly weren't cleaning tables so I dread to think how unclean that table was. The chips are horrible, they need a deadly amount of salt to make them tolerable. I can only speak for boneless meat which was actually okay. Overall it was a terrible experience though. Even my kids observed how filthy it was and made a conscious effort not to touch things unnecessarily. Thank goodness for anti bac! My pictures are only of the food on the floor as I did not want to take photos of other people without their permission. I can honestly say we will never return to this KFC ever again and I'm in no rush to return to any...

KFC Plymouth near Derriford Terrible! Thought I have KFC as it was too late for cooking this evening so Physically attended the "restaurant" to order what I thought would be straight forward there. As well as myself there was few more people in the queue but nothing in comparison to those doing delivroo and drive thru! We waited and waited nothing happened for while in fact no one attending to us or even acknowledge us we might as well have been invisible! never seen anything like it! There must have been 6 people working behind the counter and all busy looking at the screen where the orders were coming through I assume but no one show any interest whatsoever in us those in the restaurant! Unacceptable! I did approach one of the staff members and share my desatisfaction and they explained that delivroo can have several order at one time Yes perhaps but this was not helpful! In the meantime Nothing happen I therefore left the place atterly disappointed waited for 45mn no acceptable in my book A managerial issue perhaps, lack of direction for sure or/ and taking on too much! Small place like this can't sustain the pace between satisfying drive thru, delivroo and at counter services I am not sure! perhaps the answer is to close the at counter service orders as it seems they have not got time for those 🤔 what is the point if you go there and don't get to be serve!
