The jack rabbit is a more up market pub. Set near Derriford hospital just off a main roundabout. A nice looking pub from the outside. Has plenty of parking to the rear with disabled parking areas. Be sure to register your car when you arrive or you will receive a penalty. When you go in its a well presented interior clean and spacious. There is plenty of seating but it might be advisable to book first. A good selection of more up market pub food. This you may find reflected in the price. There are a good selection of drinks of all types to choose from. Tables are clean and well presented. Service was ok, I say ok because I felt the server looked like she could have been a little more enthusiastic and smiled a bit. The food I enjoyed, I thought it was well done and to my taste. No complaint there from me. Toilets were very clean and tidy. There is I believe seating outside if it ever stops raining lol. All in all not a bad experience. Worth a visit.

26/12/22 - Part of the Vintage Inns stable and on the Cask Marque Ale Trail. Very busy with meals on this day, but that wasn't a problem for me, I only wanted to have a pint and scan the Certificate. Getting my request to scan the Certificate was the first problem with the front of house person who seemed to be the manager. Neither heor any of the bar staff had any knowledge of the biggest ale trail in the world. After several repetitions, a faint memory seemed to flower in the fellow, and I was shown where the Accreditation Certificate was on display. To my comment "Has nobody else done this?" He said, no, not to his knowledge, its clearly an 'old fashioned idea' Clearly, both he and his staff need to be put in the Rembrandt quickly. As for the beer, Timothy Taylors 4.3% abv - it was in excellent condition. So at least the cellar man knows what he's doing, if not why 😀

This is our office "local" & we go there a lot. They have a very wide range of gins, ciders etc & a great food menu. The food portions are very generous but reasonably priced. I'm a foodie & can honestly say that I've never eaten a bad meal here. 14 of us ate here yesterday evening & a special mention & thank you must go out to the very patient & helpful waiter who calmly helped us split the bill & calculate discounts (no mean feat.) This pub is adjoined to a "Travelodge" & therefore gets very busy after 6pm but the staff are well prepared to handle these peak times & service & food standards remain constant.
