McDonald's — Restaurant in Plymouth

This place changed my life. Thank you Kasper.

I have been attending this location occasionally since I was a child but even more so when I moved from Derriford to Plympton nearly 10 years ago. It has always been consistent in terms of the quality of the food at a decent level and the atmosphere is top tier in terms of the standard of a McDonalds. It doesn't feel crazy or too low of quality it's just what you pay for and expect at a fast food place.

I am writing this review due to a recent experience I had at this specific McDonald's location owned by The White Rose UK Ltd. I saw that the critically acclaimed "Mr Men" franchise was arriving at McDonald's in the UK and me and my younger sister are a fan of the franchise so I knew we had to try and collect at least a few of the characters with the aim of getting a "Little Miss Sunshine" in particular as it is my nine year old's sisters favourite character and I was hoping for a "Mr Tickle" as I do enjoy the name and look of him.

Anyhow at my first attempt of getting one of these character's I ended up by some luck getting "Mr Tickle" which made me quite happy as he was who I was hoping for.

I went back shortly after being a few days as my friend wished to return for some premium grub. I ended up getting another Happy Meal due to wanting the toy and not being too particularly peckish. Once again unfortunately I received "Mr Tickle" once again and wanting to collect another character rather than a duplicate I asked an employee who was working on a table if he could swap my Mr Tickle character to another character who was in rotation that week.

He (being Kasper) was happy and smiled and did so enthusiastically and quite fast too. He was incredibly joyful and welcoming and it just felt like a interaction I had not had at a fastfood place before.

Kasper then returned with a "Little Miss Sunshine" which made me quite happy as I was able to give it to my little sister and she was able to have the character she wanted. Kasper offered this new toy or to keep my current mr tickle and did so in a very polite and kind manner which left me and my friend happy to have ate...

Received THE WORST customer service at around 12:30 last night. Do not know the cashiers name, only detail I can recall of her was that she wore glasses and her service was crap. Myself and my friend ordered our food and then two other customers then placed theirs. The gentleman cashier started to put our order on the trays and this is when the female cashier started to help. She too started to put orders on the trays but got all the orders mixed and put parts of ours on theirs and vice versa. The gentleman cashier said to her that she had mixed the orders but she stood there looking gormless and did nothing to resolve. To cut a long story short the girls ended up walking off with part of our order and she turns around and says to me and my friend 'Oh those girls just walked off with your fries, maybe you should go get it....' ARE YOU FOR REAL!???? YOU messed up our order and expect US to go up to these girls and ask ourselves!??? She didn't even apologize or attempt to look for them. It's not like she was not rushed off her feet as we were the only customers. The gentleman cashier said 'oh were they not with you?' So we replied 'no... we didn't even come in at the same time as them' He then apologized on behalf of his colleague and said she messed the order up, whilst he was saying this she just stood there and said 'Oops my bad'....and shrugged WTF!? Not even a sorry? Not professional at all! Obviously customer service is not her priority. She didn't even look at us when she said it! Was so awkward from start to finish and honestly I do not want to go to this Mc...

This is more about McDonald's in general than this specific one but I don't feel it's too much to ask for to have some cheese on a vegan burger! Seem completely ignorant of the face that vegan also means vegetarian!

Frankly if a meat eater wanted to swap a mcplant burger into a meat burger to put some bacon on it they should be allowed to! It's our food, our bodies, I get that the mcplant is vegan certified, but vegan food isn't just for vegan people!

Oh actually one point about this specific McDonald's, they number their waiting bays very strangely, they're numbered "3, 2, 1" for some reason, giving the impression that they maybe expect you to pull around the check 2 and 1, just to reverse to park in number 3. Of course I usually go straight into the first one (number 3) but that seems to have recently led to us being overlooked for an hour, well, after half an hour we went in of course, then took another half an hour to remake our order! As we were stood there waiting for it to be remade, one of the staff came out from behind the desk and said "oh yeah there is a car in the corner space" clearly implying that the first bay you come to us routinely missed or overlooked in some way?!...
