What has happened to Pizza Hut??? A Saturday night in half term and there were not enough staff on, only about half the restaurant was being used and the arrival experience was terrible to non-existent. We waited in a large bunch of people where no one knew what was going on - staff or customers. It was a mix of online order collections and people waiting for tables. Although there were at least 20 tables free we were told it would be a 15 minute wait. And it was. None of the staff appeared to be doing very much and certainly not cleaning or preparing vacated and free tables. When eventually seated - all a bit haphazard - we ordered online using a QR code on the table. Bottomless soft drinks glasses and other drinks were brought reasonably quickly. The salad bar was well stocked except for dressings/sauces where all of the jugs were empty. Pizzas looked good but had very little tomato sauce on them and we could not taste any difference between garlic and non garlic bases - so much so that we were not convinced the garlic ones were actually garlic ones. Very disappointing. In short, it felt like the whole place was on its last legs. Based on this visit, this will probably be our last ever visit to a Pizza Hut. Oh, and the only cubicle in the gents toilet was “out of order”. Not a problem for us but we’d hate to have needed to use it!!!

NEVER AGAIN.... Where do I start... ? Upon arrival our party of 17 were told we were unable to use the largest long empty table as it was 'out of bounds" ? Instead we were squashed onto a small table suitable for maybe 12 at best. Fortunately we had some teenagers with us that happily went outside to hang out. Next thing was the quality of the food. Which was shockingly bad, so dry and bland. Next, the very rude manager approached and started barking on about how he saw no buffet tickets. I had already shown this to the staff when first taking some of the shockingly bad pizza. So I opened my phone to look for "evidence" of my purchases. First item popped up was the second purchase, drinks, that I mentioned hadn't arrived (15 minutes ) to which the manager replied "they're not buffet tickets, we have no buffet tickets on our system" lol very polite! However, seconds later I found the evidence he was looking for. He almost seemed disappointed seeing my email confirmation and walked off. Finally, when I visited the bathroom I was transformed to a hobbit's bathroom. Sure kids are a portion of their guests but come on. We must have spent somewhere around £400 between us. NEVER AGAIN

For the money, it is good value here. You can get a lot of bang for your buck. The service is friendly in that they pretty much just direct you to an app or ask you want the lunchtime buffet and then bring you a glass. But they are pleasant and helpful when you chat with them. Plus the guys that are working in the kitchen seem to be doing a great job of throwing out loads of tasty pizzas. Is it the best pizza in the world or even Plymouth? No. But is it pretty good and great value, Yes. Plus if you have little ones or are someone that is fussy or just can't make up their mind, fancy lots of choice, this is great. Their lunchtime deal is around £10 for all you can eat and you just keep going up and helping yourself to pizza and salad. So you can't really go wrong. The choice of salad stuff is great and it is kept pretty tidy which is nice.

Visited today was greeted well and shown to the table order through the app, received our glasses for are drinks quickly by a very friendly lady. Went up to the buffet to get food and could quickly see the chap in the kitchen was not happy for some reason asked him about what ingredients where on a pizza he walked off mumbling to himself so didn't get the information we wanted and was asking due to one of us having an allergy. He then came back I asked if they was bringing out a particular pizza and he looked to the lady and she said to put one in again he wasn't happy for this, I selected some food and went back to the table, went up to the salad bar and the lady approached us and apologised for the kitchen Staffs behaviour, I stopped her and said it's not her place to apologise for his behalf but thank you anyway. From our table you could see straight into the kitchen and this chap was still not happy the entire time we was there clattering around banging and just his whole attitude not welcoming we actually thought about leaving at one stage. But we stayed and enjoyed our food the lady came over and personally told us the pizza we asked for was ready and out on the buffet, she was fantastic and I'm sorry I didn't get her name to personally applaud her but her customer service was 10/10 and made up for the behaviour of the other staff member in the kitchen. She's a credit to the team for sure and hope she gets the praise from this review. We visited 14/5/24...

Went to Pizza Hut after the cinema today, should have just gone to Frankie & Benny's instead! The food could have been better. The service was fast, no complaints there. It wasn't until we asked for the bill so we could pay that the major problems started. The server took about 10 minutes to notice us waiting, despite being in plain sight of us. Then, instead of bringing us the bill straight after us saying we would like to pay and her saying "I'll bring it right over", she decided to wander off and start clearing tables and serving other customers for another 10 minutes. Then when she finally brought us over the bill and we told her we were paying separately, she asked US to sort out who ordered what and to work out the cost of our meals and went off again to continue clearing tables. Yes, you read that correctly, we had to use a calculator to find out how much each of our meals were coming to instead of the waitress doing her job. Not only was this super inconvenient and unprofessional, it was also pretty pretty dodgy because some people would have definitely knocked a couple of quid off of their total (we did not as we are decent human beings). Then she FINALLY came back to us, and by this point my friend was running about 15 minutes late to get to the bus stop in time for her bus. We all agreed we will not be returning to this Pizza Hut. Super unprofessional and not really worth the quality of...
