Sadly my worse experience in PE in the country. We are lifers and hunt down PE whenever we visit a town. Our local in Coventry Hay Lane is a delight, 5 stars every time. However we struggled to hit two stars here. Last year the main town centre PE got a 4 star rating. Not so the Barbican.

Whilst seated swiftly that’s where it stopped. Our order was taken incorrectly with only one starter for the three of us. We caught this and recalled the water Danny. Then only two starters arrived which tbf was swiftly corrected. Then after an hour of waiting the mains arrived. The size of the Bolognese portion was barely acceptable for a grown male. We though it was a child’s portion. The manager was very apologetic but stood his ground eventually compromising by offering a complimentary garlic bread. Tbf he handled the situation professionally and diplomatically. He counts offer anymore pasta as you had run out (by 730pm on a Friday night... really?).

The food as always was spot on tho. The reason we are loyal customers back in Coventry.

However one hour is not acceptable. Friday night yes, restaurant full but two chefs. Not good enough. We were offered no table water or a second drink. Shocking.

Please get a trouble shooter manager in to oversee a Friday and Saturday night shift to get The Barbican PE back up to the minimum standards appropriate for an eatery of this reputation.

This shouldn’t happen.

22/07/19 Tbf to PE they immediately responded and apologised offering a free...

I am so disappointed at the lack of customer service and the prices which didn’t match the quality of the food.. I attended pizza express with my family, we sat at the same table but the first waitress let us do 2 serperate orders, while waiting for the food they brung out our dough balls and roasted tomatoes, the tomatoes were freezing cold, while the dough balls had no taste to them and only had 8 balls which costed me £8.20! The ‘pizza’ (wouldn’t even call it that) was basically a popadom with tomatoe puree on it, we had about 5 pieces of chicken on the whole ‘pizza’. We then went to order a desert, had the desert which was nice but at the end the waitress said that desert wasn’t in the meal deal yet she didn’t tell us before hand, they do 25% off your table the second waitress said because off the two separate orders we could use them on both when it came to it she declined it and saying it, the toilets were completely disgusting had feaces down the sides yet the router said it had been cleaned 6:30pm we complained and the whole time we was there no one went in to clean, also complained about the food and what the waitress had said to us and still she was completely rude our first time and most certainly last...

I visited today with my daughter. There were only 2 staff working and they were a bit slow unfortunately. Being able to order at the table by bar code would be much easier because I had to get the attention of a server to take our order. My daughter had a margarita pizza, which is always perfect. I ordered a mac and cheese which, unfortunately, was burnt, personally I don't like crunchy pasta. I sent it back got a replacement, which took a very long time to arrive, while others all around me got their food, and my daughter finished her pizza. The second mac and cheese was much better, no crunchy pasta, no pasta stuck to the bottom of the dish and it seemed more than the first mac and cheese I ordered. Again, I had to get a member of staffs attentions to pay. I must say the choice in music was being enjoyed by many, there was an 80s CD playing and lots of people were singing or dancing in their seats. The soap dispenser in the ladies was almost empty. We've usually visited when there were more staff, I think today was just an odd...

Please employ more staff! Had lunch with you today (only because Nandos and Pizza Hut were full). Only two members of front of house staff who whilst polite and pleasant were certainly not dynamic or efficient, certainly not making any extra effort for your staff shortage. Waited sufficiently long for a children's menu I went and got it myself. Starters arrived before our drinks, child's meal served incorrect and by the time the correct pizza arrived everyone else had all but finished. The strangest thing of all is that spare tables in the centre of the restaurant are used to stack dirty dishes and when I asked why, I was advised it's quicker than taking the dirty dishes to the kitchen if they all get stacked in the restaurant!!! I have attached a photo of some of the tables. Eating out surrounded by tables stacked with dirty dishes is not a great environment. Overall the food was okay. I struggle paying £15 for macaroni cheese....the mark up must be astonishing but got a good 25% discount with my sons student card.

The pizza is tasty, but when it comes to gluten-free BBQ pizza, for £14, it's half the price of a normal one. So it's funny because you pay as if it were gold and you get half. There's so much pizza dip that you don't know where to pour it because there's so little. See the photo I'm sorry, but personally I was disappointed in your restaurant because the food is tasty, but there are few extras, and for sick people who have to eat gluten-free food. They pay twice and get less, so it's not fair.
