Read moreMy son was fortunate enough to stay here when he was stuck in the UK during the Covid-19 lockdown. Ms. Florentina was most attentive and kind. In total he stayed almost 3 1/2 months at a generously reduced rate which was greatly and humbly appreciated. Upon check-in he was also upgraded to a bigger room and a small refrigerator was offered to him and also use of the laundry room for the duration of the lockdown . Ms. Florentina was most understanding and allowed him to clean his own room and change his own sheets as due to the whole pandemic situation my son felt this best. She kindly allowed him use of the vacuum cleaner and cleaning supplies and also handed him clean sheets every week. We wish the Carhampton guest house all the very best and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking such good care of our son. It gave us peace of mind. This guest house is in the perfect location too with shops nearby and endless running tracks which was a great relief to our son. Clean rooms and a wonderful host. Most of all we are so thankful to both the Owner of Carhampton and Ms. Florentina for their wonderful compassion , spontaneity, patience and generosity during this very trying time. Rest assured after all the wonderful things my son had to say about his experience despite the pandemic ,if we get the chance to visit Plymouth ourselves we will definitely stay at the Carhampton and hope to experience the warmth and welcome...
Read moreI and a colleague stayed Friday 27th July. Initially surprised there was no breakfast. That was the start. I was in room 4 (single) En suite sort of. The shower was clean and worked. There was no shelves etc. to place anything whilst showering. wash basin was behind toilet door. Too small to place both hands in a the same time. The mirror was too high to use to shave with. No stopper in waste. Now onto the bedroom. Quite spacious and clean. The TV did not work. the furniture was new but rickety. The bedside table was not beside the bed, so no place to put specs etc. The bedding was clean but old and well used, the mattress was about 20 years old the springs could be felt, the pillows had no fabric in them at all. very un- comfy, I could not keep window open as there was no stay and windy outside and kept blowing shut. There was plenty of space for clothing but why anyone would stay more that one night I do not know. Glad to leave||How can anyone call this a hotel it is not even a B & B just a Bed|| At £65 for this crappy single certainly was not value for money. ||||AVOID Find...
