The Ground Coffee House — Restaurant in Plymouth

Visited here after recomfrom friends and it as perfect. Brought our baby in her pram to meet up with friends and there was plenty of room to access the cafe and fit the pram next to the table.... Which can't be done in some chain coffee shops! Got coffee and hot chocolate along with food. It was a fast and friendly service, the quality of the drinks rival (if not better some chain coffee shops!) and the food was made fresh to order not long wait and tasted delicious! There was lots of options on the menu and a wide selection of cakes made on the premises! Not many places can say that!! Will definitely be back again and would recommend to anyone that wants a great coffee or drink and not to feel rushed or treated like you need to free up a table as soon...

Excellent black Americano served here! Stopped for a coffee and it was hard to resist the homemade cakes whilst I was there. I ended up enjoying a second coffee as it started to pour down with rain and i didn't have a coat. Well thats my excuse! The menu includes a variety of coffees, teas, cold drinks,cakes and pastries, sandwiches, toasties, jacket potatoes and also children's options. A really nice laid back coffee shop a short walk from the city centre and the railway station. Great service. Great staff. Lovely high ceilings and windows. You will not find a more welcoming café in Plymouth. The owners really make you feel special, they couldn’t be more helpful & the food and drinks are all well-prepared and generous. Whether you just go for a pot of tea & toasted tea cake (home made & exactly like my mum used to make when we were kids 😋) or something more substantial, you’ll be well looked after. All the cakes have full information about potential allergy risks, which is very helpful. I believe it’s got good access if you’re disabled, certainly all flat with space in the loos & there’s usually toys, board games & colouring stuff to keep children amused.
