Your typical resort style all you can eat canteen. It’s difficult to call it a restaurant as it doesn’t have the restaurant quiet, relaxed meal atmosphere. Highly recommend that you book in advance. We booked early evening and were lucky because within 30-45 minutes after we arrived, the place was full. Dining time is restricted to 90 minutes but I somehow believe that may not always be enforceable. It’s called a World Buffet but the food available was a large selection of standard Chinese dishes, a few basic Indian dishes and from Italy, pizza and pasta. That’s it. But on the positive side the sushi bar is well served and freshly stocked and all the dishes are replenished as soon as they begin to run low. Unfortunately, I found the rice was dry and under cooked but the lemon chicken was wonderful, along with the seafood options available, as was the mushrooms in black bean sauce. The service was good and as you can imagine due to the high volume of customers there plenty of staff on duty to clear the tables and even discreetly sweep the floor. In summary, it’s a good place to go with the kids/ family members for that quick gobble down Chinese meal.

In Summary this was the worst buffet I have been to in my life. It was priced fairly and is following a similar price scheme to Cosmo and JRC Buffets. The drinks were also well priced at around £2.50 for the unlimited coke. This was really the only positive thing stopping me giving this review 1 star. Overall the food selection was average, with lots of the food running out very quickly and lots of the food trays being empty and not being refilled. Most of the food was warm or tepid nothing being hot. The curry selection was average and many had a poor taste and relied on spice to drown out the bad flavour. The Chinese was nothing special and was your usual items, most being done poorly. The Italian food was sad and really bland with much of the food being very oily especially the pasta dishes. There were more sections but these were the only ones I tried as I tend to stay away Sushi and Fish at buffets. Desserts again were very poor and boring, nothing attractive the pancakes which were the highlight somehow we made to be chewy which I have never experienced before. The chocolate fountain was very watery but wasn't too bad. The ice-cream was very cheap and had virtually no taste along with most of the desserts either being dry cake or really wet custard based dishes. The staff were average, none were overly friendly and the manager or guy in the suit seemed more interested about forcing people to get in and pay. Overall the restaurant needs better managing as I still believe it could have some teething issues related to it being new, but seeing as this brand is not new I would expect it to be near to perfect out the door as they have experience doing this. However even with a better managerial style they need to up the food and make it tasty and warm, along with stocking up the dishes. The seating area is cramped and tables are very close together which can make it awkward manoeuvring at times around the place. I currently wouldn't recommend this place really ever as there are many much better buffets around such as Cosmo or JRC which tend to be much better and similar priced. However this place may be far superior in a month or so.

*BE AWARE* I was told to pay full adult price (£18.99) for my 10 year old "child" because she was 3cm taller than 150cm. My daughter is tall for her age but doesn't have a huge appetite, so their excuse that this rule is in place because children over 150cm can consume more food is absolutely ridiculous. How is that even a reason? 🤣 She's not very ambitious with food either, so when we ate at Spoon, she only had 2 plates of chicken nuggets/chips/olives/pickled onions and a couple of desserts. We attended Spoon for a family members birthday, so whilst I was aware that she probably wouldn't eat a lot of the options available, I was definitely NOT aware that I'd have to pay an adult price for that. The staff looked harassed and weren't overly welcoming. One drinks machine wasn't working and the food was largely just Chinese cuisine. Great for fans of Chinese food, but this place definitely doesn't cater for much else. The spinach pasta was so watery, the sushi section only had 2 vegetarian varieties (one being tofu which isn't to everyone's taste), the salad bar looked very sorry for itself 🤣 and they only had options of pepperoni pizza or cheese, but the cheese pizza was inedible. This could be such a great place but it's totally lacking in imagination and variety. Not if you like Chinese food though, there's LOADS of that. Positives: The Chinese vegetables, mushrooms and meat-free noodles were nice. That's all I ate. Definitely wasn't worth £44 though and not a place I would take my family again.

I dared to go there as I read plenty of vegetarian/vegan meals will be in Spoon. Well that's a certain disappointment. I can count on my two hands the vegetarian meals including cheese pizza (didn't have it), pastas and sushi. I just saw how many different meals were there with meat. I bet 6-7 times more. Also they put oil in iceberg lettuce. Why? What for? Most of the meals were overly oiled. In the restaurant I could have enjoyed more lights. My eyes are not bad at all but where we sat it was nearly dark. Could not even see everything on my plate. You could say that oh this could be romantic but on the other side the music was too loud, too noisy. Also they put tiny labels to show the allergens but again, first of all it's not enough light secondly they're so small to read them clearly. All my respect to people working there but whoever is the meal-deceision maker needs to think twice. We tried first time on a weekend and it's a disappointment. Won't go there again.

I've been to many 'similar' restaurants and this is by far the best. So much food to offer - conveyor sushi, super fresh tasting fish. Everything from pizza, nuggies, English roast and spaghetti bolognese to the most elaborate crab and Chinese cuisine: curries, soups - you name it. Everything tasted fresh and regularly saw staff bring out new food. You can watch the sushi being handmade or request and watch your food (steaks etc) being cooked. The service was wonderful and we were made to feel so welcome for our first visit. Payment was simple. Plenty of desserts avaliable, including fresh crepes, though I only had room for a few jelly beans by the end. It was a lovely experience and, as it goes, the pricing was great too. Just £20pp and £3 for a bottomless drink during peak hours. The perfect date. I couldn't recommend this place more. 11/10
