Park layout is amazing, we love this park, met the owner and he’s great but never going back, it’s no longer for skateboarding it’s a kids play area .After 1 1/2 hours travel paying £6 parking £16 to skate. 15 mins into the session, kids party, most under 6,1) told by a parent to stop skating as they wanted to film. 2) mother walking around park holding a new born baby, 3) dad walking around puffed out chest trying to start a fight because I skated near his wife who was walking through middle of the park, 4)toddler (no helmet) in tutu with mum doing a photoshoot on top of the driveway. Asked to move, I was told they had paid to be there. 5) Coffee spilt on mini ramp 6) kid eating skittles dropping them on the floor, 7) kid launching scooter at my son every time he lined up a trick as a funny game 8) I was close to landing a front side flip over hip, women left 8scooters in landing area to film kids sliding down ramp on bums, I moved 2 and dad came and stood there, so I had to bail board into him. THE MAJOR HIT my 13 year old stopped skating as he was so anxious of hitting a very small child, so he got 25mins in The worker was so sympathetic and offered us the next session, but my son was done, and said he doesn’t want to go back it’s a waste of time, None of the kids were supervised and far too young to be in an active session, the adults were even worse, they had booked a party so the owned the park. Discussing this on my watts app skate group, pretty much everyone has the same opinion, it’s not worth it, accident in the making or worse, a fight ready happen. I understand parties bring in the money, but make them book the whole park, or offer refunds to other users, or charge 75% less when a party is there. Ban parents running around the park. Put an age limit these kids were far too young to be there. Good for locals in the evenings so up...

Old review below for reference, but the team running Pitt st need recognition. They have improved the facilities since writing my first review including a lower level mini for beginner practice. They have also reduced the cost for kids which is fab. My son is now a Thursday night regular and looks forward to his sessions every week. Thanks to the team for improving the park and making it more accessible for a regularly visiting kid like my son. 5 stars, thanks to the team for reacting positively to feedback. 5 stars well deserved. 👍
This place has potential but needs better pricing and perhaps session splitting. I've been 8 times now (mostly evening sessions) and over half of those times it has been plagued with nippers just casually snaking about the place without a second thought to safety or situational awareness. The mini ramp is good (when it's not too wet to skate thanks to a leaky roof) and the slappy curb and long ledge are the best I've seen. However...it needs more interacting quarters rather than the large gaps between them as it is at the moment and more equipment filling the vast expanses of open space. It would also benefit hugely from a small 2ft mini for beginners. Every park should have one if you want to encourage people into the sport.
Compare this park to the likes of Prevail and unfortunately it falls flat on every level. It has half the equipment, no genre or age specific sessions and it costs more as well. I backed this project from the beginning and think there is so much potential. It seems to be run by good people who had a lot of unpredictable set backs getting the project off the ground but I think the park needs to bring pricing in line with the experience before it can get more...
Read moreHave been going to Pitt St for a month or two now and love the place!
My 6 year old decided he wanted to learn to skateboard and after a couple of sessions with the South Coast Skateboard Club in Worthing, he dragged me into it (a 41 year old, who's overweight and never skated) and together we found Pitt St, wanting to find somewhere nearer to us and where we could go regularly without worrying about the weather. Thought there'd be plenty of people there ready to laugh at my inabilities (in addition to my wife), but everyone is super welcoming and supportive from the staff to the other skateboarders, roller skates and scooter riders (all welcome but check their schedule on Facebook as they do have certain schedules for certain sports, abilities and ages)
The venue is super cool and built in an old Sainsbury's with plenty of ramps, curbs and railings for the more experienced riders and a large flat arena which is ideal for beginners like myself. They also have a cafe/restaurant/bar with good coffee, decent pizzas and wings and quality beers plus a pool table.
They also offer lessons that my son and I have previously booked on for. After the first lesson we were riding better, tic tacing, carving and even having a go on the slopes and smaller ramps (not dropping in yet!)
They have some cool events; party nights, roller discos, DJ nights and today we were at their Skateboarding Jam which consisted of all day skateboarding and competitions with decent prizes.
Everything about Pitt St is super cool and I couldn't recommend it enough for people of all ages and abilities.
The only thing I'd change/add is a monthly membership option so that I could turn up whenever without worrying about...
