Mr T's Reading — Restaurant in Reading

Not sure how these lot are getting 5 star reviews, either people must be used to being served garbage and have no standards or what. Food Chicken samosas and chips were cold, sent them away and seems like the chips were refried and a new batch of chicken samosas was cold yet again. Like how can you get fried things wrong? Especially considering how long the business has been open. Too much sauce in the smashed burger and overwhelms the beef taste and the pizza dough tasted synthetic and the lamb on it tasted funky.

Service Really slow considering it was not even that busy, half of the staff wear gloves, half don’t. Saw the guy who handles the donner meat scratching his hair and then was handling the donner meat cutter.

Atmosphere Dead, no life in the place, staff seem like robots and no one is smiling. Door being left wide open to let the cold air come in and making it a really unpleasant place to dine.

Overall, comparing this Mr T’s to the flagship and more earlier branches, they’re definitely not meeting the standards for sure as Mr T’s is known to have good food. Either the branch owner doesn’t pitch in with working, or he just doesn’t keep up with appearances enough because the staff’s lack of enthusiasm and the quality of food being churned...

I didn’t want to leave a negative review without giving the business a chance to respond. But I’ve messaged them on Instagram and even left a message on a post to reply yo my complaint but they’ve just ignored me. I went there with my kids, it was busy and we were waiting for a family booth, we found one and I sat my kids down so I can go order. When I ordered and paid, my kids came over after a few minutes and told me a staff member moved them out of the seating to seat another family down who just walked in. I am assuming they knew the family and prioritised them for personal reasons. I complained to the people behind the til and they really didn’t care and said if another seat becomes available o can take that. I don’t like this VIP thing where people shove you aside for their friends/family like we’re nothing. The food was OK so no complaint about that, it just made the experience very negative due to the lack of care this business has to it’s paying customers. Such a shame they ignore me so I’ve had to leave...

Today i had the pleasure of dining at Mr t's, and I must say, it has quickly risen to be the best restaurant in Reading. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the vibrant atmosphere—the bright colors and decor create a warm and inviting space that fills you with a sense of hope and positivity.The restaurant was impeccably clean, which immediately put me at ease. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive, ensuring that every need was met with a smile. Their friendliness and professionalism truly made the experience stand out.But what really stole the show was the food. Each dish was nothing short of amazing, crafted with care and bursting with flavor. It was evident that the kitchen takes great pride in their work, and it shows on every plate.If the exceptional customer service and top-notch food quality continue at this level, I have no doubt that Mr t's will become the number one dining spot in Reading.
