This is a perfect example of what's wrong with this country. Total and utter confusion as to what an evening out is meant to be or a dinner is meant to be.
When I walked in I thought I was in a night club. Horribly loud music... But of course with nowhere to dance (so why the blasting loud and poor music!????)... And then you go to the back and it's just as loud. And just as dark. We had to use our phone torches just to read the damned menus. And as for trying to have any meaningful conversation with the four friends I was with, who I was hoping to catch up with, forget it. Tried shouting but we just gave up. Is this a restaurant or a night club??? You can't have your cake and eat it by blasting out loud music to bring in drunk fools looking for a nightclub type experience and then charge expensive restaurant prices in cramped awful seating conditions trying to make out it's a decent place to eat. £5 for a burger, maybe, in case a drunkard wants something to eat whilst his ears bleed, but restaurant prices for eating in a dark loud cramped night club?
As for the food,.. I actually liked it. What there was was good. But this was negated by the poor choice in the menu. Only a handful of options. Oh, and the price and portion sizes. High even for a proper place to eat. Waiting staff were good though and they brought water with no fuss so that's a plus.
Sorry but I'm fuming at my experience of this confused bar/club/restaurant place which ruined a catch up experience. Chav country!...
Read moreThe atmosphere was amazing as soon as we walked in and was faciliated by the lovely ambient lighting and lively chatter throughout the restaurant and bar.
Luckily, we managed to get a walk in reservation for eight and I thank the staff for accomadating our difficult circumstances.
The food was delicious, I highly recommend the chicken don! It was packed with flavour and a decent size portion. However, options were slightly limited in regards to sides.
However, unfortunately our experience with staff was mediocre at best. They had trouble hearing us sometimes due to the noisy surroundings and seemed to quickly lose patience. I’m aware it is a fast paced environment but rushing people to order and seeming peeved when they aren’t ready yet is not a welcoming attitude to experience. It really did impact my rating of the restaurant as I felt unvalued as a customer especially as there is a service charge added on to the bill and I would expect excellent service if that is the case.
On the other hand, there were a few members of staff that made sure we enjoyed our food and checked in on us which boosts my rating.
Overall, would recommend to others but would advise them on the attitudes on the staff and to perhaps check and have their order...
Read moreIf I could give 0 zero ratings I would give 0. I am absolutely appalled with tonight, whilst everybody seems to give high ratings my ratings will be 0 for this evening. Excuse for my rant and I understand why people would not agree with me but please let me give you the backstory. I or should I say my sister booked a table of 5 for this evening (granted 1 was a no show)but upon my arrival the bouncer told me regardless my party was not allowed to attend , reasoning my mother who had been out prior to this restaurant booking was 'intoxicated "in their opinion therefore would not let uts enter ,upon speaking to the manager he was also heated with his response, this upon making me furious ,not only had he rejected my 60 year old mother from entering (whom today was a bit tiddly but also a grown woman who could be tiddly but also aware of everything that was materialising ĝ, enter the premises and the fact it was my 40th birthday which was ultimately suspended due to some reasoning out of my control I would just like to say I'm absolutely furious, could have been handled...
