Grounded Kitchen — Restaurant in Rushcliffe

Ordered a takeaway via deliveroo and we were disappointed with the flavours and the lack of attention to detail when ordering non-spicy, so if you have an allergy this isn't the place for you, since my order was not what I requested. I also ordered disposable cutlery that wasn't in the bag either, it's a minor thing but clearly consistent when two things were wrong here at lunch time not dinner time so not busy when the order was placed at 11.30 for lunch.

The bao buns I ordered double, you can see this clearly means filling and not 4 bao buns instead of two which is a bit disappointing since this was more than £10 for filling up the bao buns I thought that is really stingy if there was no paid upgrade and needs to be clearer on the deliveroo menu. I also ordered non spicy buns, the same for all of the order, this was far too hot specifically the red sauce that had been added and not requested. I've no idea what level of spice it was but it ruined my meal because we naturally ate the starters first. I like spice but I like tasting the food so this was that kind of spice.

Since we ordered the rice bowl and the udon beef bowl with the same flavours as the bao bun, it was strange it did not taste the same and red sauce was not present on the other two items, so clearly the wrong order given. The bao buns were so spicy you couldn't even appreciate the flavours. We like spice but not spice for spice sake so we did not order that, it was very disappointing I contacted deliveroo and they have fixed it for me.

The beef rice bowl was very bland and not worth the cost. The lamb dumplings were OK but again the cost was not worth it, they were average. The beef udon bowl was the best in the entire order, but far too many nuts in there, it was more a peanut beef bowl. The noodles were not mixed so all of the sauce and beef was on the bottom which is odd since those nuts were really well mixed into the bowl.

I do not recommend based on value, incorrect order and flavour. It's a shame I was expecting good things here from...

Absolutely delicious!!!😋😋 I am fully hooked I tried it for the first time last week. And this is by far my favourite place to eat for lunch in Nottingham! 👍🏽👍🏽Love the fire chicken so much that I went back the very next day. The girl serving us listened to our requests for making it spicy and wow she didn’t disappoint it was most delicious and most juiciest one and I will only have her making it for me from now on, although they all do a good job! This is definitely a weekly treat for me and my husband! Oh and the vanilla ice cream was Pengggg everyone must try this😉😉!! Can’t wait to go back and try everything on the menu!! Also great team of staff super super friendly. I wish this business all the success for the future! I Am drooling as I am writing this see you soon guys...

We visited Ground Kitchen with family to celebrate a birthday and were really looking forward to it, especially after a family friend had a great experience at the Leicester branch. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the food we managed to try was genuinely delicious.

Unfortunately, our visit was cut short after we found a dead fly on our 2-year-old daughter, which completely put us off the meal. The staff did offer complimentary drinks and tried to make up for it, but at that point, we just wanted to leave. It was really disappointing, especially on what was supposed to be a special day.

While the place has a lot of potential and the food is great, they seriously need to improve their cleanliness standards. We hope this was a one-off, but it definitely affected...
