This was my favourite place to eat, I come to this specific Wagamamas very frequently with my boyfriend and I get the same thing every time but today I wanted to try out the new vegan fried chicken. I got the vegan k dogs and the edamame beans alongside; for context I have been a dedicated and passionate vegan for the past year now. I asked for it with the sauce on the side as I was unsure if I would like it, my boyfriend also got a portion too with the sauce on top but actual chicken as he is not vegan. They brought his portion first and then supposedly mine after with the sauce on top. I was confused as to why it didnāt come with the sauce on the side (which I didnāt really mind) and we also didnāt know which one was the vegan one out of the two. We asked one of the waiters if it was vegan and he said he can double check for us if weād like but then walked off. I had my boyfriend assess them both and he thought that the one sitting in front of me was vegan. Heās also eaten a bunch of plant based dishes with me and vegan dishes these days are almost identical to animal dishes so he struggled to tell the difference aswell but he thought it must have been jackfruit and so did I. So I ate it. And then another piece. Along with the āveganā mayo. 10 minutes later a waitress comes with my vegan chicken with the sauce on the side. I asked, āso what did I just eat.ā I ate chicken š. I was so distressed and upset and immediately felt nauseous, I went to the toilet to force myself to be sick and sobbed. My boyfriend raised the issue and was rightfully angry, and we had the fried chicken removed from the bill and were given a voucher for a free side the next time we came. The first waitress who delivered my vegan chicken was apologetic, the manager also apologised but didnāt seem apologetic. I myself was in shock and didnāt know how to process it. I am home now writing this review shaking and crying. I am very emotionally distraught and honestly traumatised. There are many reasons I am vegan and I just canāt believe I ingested the corpse of a tortured animal. This is something that should not have happened, I quite clearly asked for an entire vegan meal and I do not need to double or triple check that the food I have delivered to my table is correct, I should be able to trust the service that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was, without a doubt, the worst experience Iāve ever had at a Wagamama. The food & mangement was below their usual standard
The chicken in my pho was tough as boots, and my partnerās pad thai was so overcooked and chopped into tiny pieces it resembled baby food ā frankly, it was horrifying.
While the servers were genuinely kind and tried their best, the real issue was the manager, who was completely unprofessional and clearly unprepared to handle basic customer concerns. When I raised the issue of food quality, her first response was to hand over a voucher for a free side dish on our next visit ā a tone-deaf gesture considering how dissatisfied we were with this meal. Only after I pointed out how inadequate that was did she offer me a free item ā but not the actual meal that had been the problem in the first place.
To make matters worse, the billing process was chaotic. My partner and I paid separately ā I had already paid through the app before he arrived ā but due to some technical issue, the manager insisted I hadnāt paid, even after I showed proof. She repeatedly claimed the payment hadnāt gone through, then told us weād need to process a refund ā which dragged on and on. Instead of handling it herself, she kept sending a server back and forth to relay messages, making an already stressful experience even more frustrating. In the end, we just threw down extra cash and left.
In short: lovely staff let down by appalling management and a badly run location. This branch needs a serious shake-up before Iād consider...

Pork belly reman: the pork belly are broken in to pieces, hardly have 3 complete slices in total. All the other ingredients has not taste, including the soup. We need to season it by ourselves by adding soy sauce and the Japanese shichimi power.
Teriyaki chicken Donburi: Ridiculous! The bowl is completely covered by raw and unseasoned carrot and bean spouts. Removing the vegetables, I can only see some poor little chicken pieces⦠they are hard and very very dried. From my experience of having Teriyaki in Japan & Asian and an other part of the world, if you Teriyaki chicken, you will get soft and juicy chicken thigh with very crisp skin! Look at what I got the pictures and you will under how disappointed I was.š
I know this is a chain restaurant, I can tell they donāt put their heart to make good food at all. But I donāt think the staffs should be the one responsible for that because they are nice and very helpful. It maybe just because the standardized receipts of this company are terrible.
Will never come back again. Will not recommend to...
