Bun It — Restaurant in Sandwell

Dined in here with couple of friends. Quite expensive compared to MANY other places.

The bad: -I would not recommend eating in as its cold and atmosphere not pleasant -To pay by card, you have to give your phone number, where you are sent a link to pay. No card tapping/machine -As other customers have pointed out, you are then sent marketing messages every month or so! I didn't opt for this nuisance. I have never come across this before, and it's very bad that this business is doing this. -Waited 40mins at the table for food to arrive. It was not worth the wait unfortunately...

FOOD... -Beef Burger was quite small and expensive at £6 on its own with no fries. Wrapped in foil, It was quite bland. -The CHICKEN loaded fries (Chop n Cluck Fries) was just absolutely disgusting. It was so salty with the additional cheese sauce and crispy onions making it worse. Pardon the pun, I had to BIN IT. (And I'm not one to waste food.) -'Milkshake' at £5, you literally get more blended ice than the proper ingredients in HALF a cup size. No joke.

The good -Beef Burger was juicy (not dry) and proper 'meaty'. -BEEF loaded fries at £5 was decent though only half the box was full. -Friendly service.

Expensive food not value for money at all. There are many other places that offer way better than this. I will not be coming here again and do not recommend this...

Absolutely shocking

I receive unsolicited marketing emails from Bunit. I didn't opt in for any text messages constantly telling me to "buy Angus Smash Burgers" and that Bun it can "brighten up my weekend with a special 10% offer".

So, I phoned them politely asking them to remove me from their marketing list and that I didn't consent to marketing.

The person on the phone was very confrontational. He harshly told me that "Is this a legal issue? Shall I get a solicitor involved?"

And then he mentioned that they "use a third party company to send marketing texts to people that give them orders via phone." That is VERY irresponsible handling of personal customer data.

Without giving me a chance to even politely answer, he start getting defensive, "Well, this is how systems work. You phone a company to order food and they send you advertising text messages. Your number is in the system and this is how it works."

He even asked for my name and address and threatened to remove me from their systems, implying that I can't order from there anymore!

Absolutely...

Literally the best burger place I have visited . From the minute we walked in the staff were welcoming and accommodating . The owner took the time to go through the menu with us and gave us his personal recommendations. I can’t believe the prices for the quality of food you get. The loaded fries were absolutely amazing and were like a meal on its own . I ordered the cheesy burger and it was hands down the best burger Iv had. Loaded with melted cheese yet not greasy or stodgy , the burger patty itself was really well seasoned. My husband had the you got me clucked up burger and the chicken was crispy and then tender on the inside. One of the best food joints Iv visited in a long time and the owners were lovely , it’s clear to see just how much they care about providing a good service and exceptional food. Will definitely be...
