Interceptor — Restaurant in Sandwell

Terrible service and I've never felt so mistreated in my life, we spent over 100 pound in this restaurant then we got our food after waiting for a short time, before this we got 5 forks which were all dirty after eating our food my mom went and ordered a purple rain pitcher and my mom mistakenly asked for 2 glasses(it was my 16th birthday)she was meant to ask for two, a bar man came and accused my dad of about to give me alcohol, the pitcher was for my mom not me, then the bar manager started yelling at us ,she told us that she was only going to give us a refund just for the pitcher but not the 3 deserts, so my mom said okay so we got a refund for 1 desert and the pitcher but not the two kids deserts. We asked nicely if they could please clean the table, the manager yelled at the bar man to clean the table, but he didn't so we had to clean the tables ourselves, do their jobs. my two sisters who are 3 and 13 waited for over half an hour for their deserts then they decided to not bring them, we asked staff and they said we aren't bringing it but we didn't get our money back, by now its nearly 8 and my 3 year old sister is so tired, so she is crying of waiting. They gave us some of the money back but not all of it. also earlier i went to the toilet and al but one of the lady's toilets were dirty :not flushed and tissue everywhere. THEN WE WALKED OT CAUSE WE COUDNT TAKE BEING TREATED LIKE THIS, ABOSOLUTLEY TERRIBLE SERVICE WEVE BEEN HERE ABOUT 5 TIMES NEVER BEEN TREATED LIKE THIS.THE THING IS MY MOMS RUN A PUB FOR OVER 10 YEARS SO SHE KNOWS THE INS AND OUTS OF A PUB,THEY TOOK THE MONEY AND ASKED,YOUR MEANT TO ASK FOR ID BEFORE TAKING PEOPLES MONEY.UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE SOMETHING ON THEIR SHOES I RECCOMEND YOU AVOID THIS PLACE,THERES ONLY ONE BAR STAFF THATS ACTUALLY NICE AND CAN DO HER JOB.HOPEFULLY THE STAFF ONE DAY WILL FIND THEIR MANNERS BUT RIGHT NOW THEY ARE RUDE...

I would like to say the staff are very friendly and are very kind HOWEVER!!!! It first took 40 mins for me to even order my food and drinks with only one lady behind the bar they need to hire more staff behind the bar as the wait time is ridiculous. After I ordered my food I decided to visits the bathroom where I used the stall only to see the entire stall soaked in urine and the inside of the toilet and seat looked like it was covered in brown sludge (which I think everyone knows what I am talking about !!!)

Not only that I waited another 40 mins for them to make a cheeseburger which was dryer than the Sahara dessert on a scorching day which I struggled to swallow

My burger was burnt and the cheese looked like playdoh that was mixed with other colours and the onion rings were so soggy it tasted like a wet napkin. The staff member also did not know how to serve a pint with the biggest head I’ve ever seen I was going to tell her can I get another one except she was outside having a cigarette instead with no other staff members to be seen

Overall the place is conveniently located at new square so I understand why people would go to the interceptor but why they would eat and drink is beyond me. I don’t want this place to close as I know this can affect a lot of people having a meal but the area managers really need to go back and revamp how to attend customer service and the quality of food they...

I visited here today just for a quick drink in the afternoon while out shopping. I've eaten here before and not had any problem other than on occasion it takes a while for the order to come out. Always found the food to be hot and fresh, with a few offers during the week. Do recommend the Southern fried chicken skewers with the peri peri sauce, fries and salad. Just perfect!

Ordering via the Greene King app works fine with no issues, can be easier than going to the bar for complex orders like a group all wanting the 'mix it up' of different things.

Staff at the bar today were getting through the orders quickly, friendly and with a smile. Very helpful too especially when came to using a voucher and guiding through what to do, no complaints at all here.

Atmosphere - Tables being cleared quickly, and found somewhere to sit with no problems. Background music is at a reasonable level so can still hear conversation. Being school holidays, it is a bit like being in a zoo with all the kids running around. Very family friendly, perhaps not so much for a quiet drink.

Toilets were okay, the lock on the door was broken and bits of rubbish around. Not their fault, but could do with a few more checks / cleaning.

Will come back again for a meal and the odd drink, but unlikely for drinks alone as a bit on the pricey side compared to other places could...
