Popped in on a whim, very pleasantly surprised, Pint of Guinness and half a Carling £5:50 makes this a very affordable drink or two, the tables were clean and tidy, pool table, sports TV and various events such as karaoke and bingo advertised. Seeing St Georges cross adorning the frontage in this day and age was welcomed.
The barman did a good job of getting everyone served in short order and clearing the tables, toilets clean and a range of basic pub snacks if you get the munchies.
The only negative I found was the table we sat at, when I pulled the chair out looked like there was a chicken nugget or something hiding under the chair, which was surprising with how clean the rest of the pub looked.
