Sorry ,found my visit so dissapointing Seeing and hearing good reviews about the half a tanner ,I decided to head the 100 miles or do to Perth specifically to have a wee Karaoke jaunt with some friends, booked into a local hotel for an overnighter and went for a meal in local Indian restaurant - all leading up to what was to be the main event - a spot of karaoke from 8pm till 12.30 pm ---- what a disappointment From early on it became apparent that the KJ thought he was Mr personality and he talked such a lot of drivel instead of getting on with his job - where do you come from ? -- do you have double glazing ? Oh I used to sell double glazing in that area ? Eh --- who's interested im here for karaoke! Every singer was greeted by a version of his inane tripe --- In addition to that time wasting ,he had a very bad habit of starting the tracks just as he said the name of the next singer meaning even before the pub wad busy by the time you had the mike you'd missed the first line or more of the song --- really!!!! Chaotic management of the singers waiting to ding ( or blatant favouritism) waiting for an hour and a half for a song to be told the machine randomly selects the next singer - back to karaome school Mr kj -- who do you think your kidding I'm a regular Karaoke goer usually at least once or twice every week --- It's the first time at karaoke I've not been there hoping for another song at closing time -- but enough was enough and we bailed out st 11.30 unable to tolerate any more. I see a few reviews do mention that the UK likes the sound of his own voice --- but nothing Prepared you for the reality --- if this is your idea of a good karaoke night - seriously you need to...
Read moreI entered the pub and was quickly ordered back out because of covid, no signs saying do not enter, just signs warning me of a 1m social distance rule. Once outside he then said he had take my partners and my temperature and if we wanted a drink we would have to download their app and order and pay via the app which meant putting my bank details through it. I'm not good with technology so this took a good 15 minutes. Once I'd ordered and paid, the bartender came out and said the app hadn't worked and could he take my order. So after 20 minutes I was where I could of been, had he just taken my order to begin with. So then half way through our drinks he came back out and said the app had refunded our money, so could we pay again. No rush just resubmit my order once I receive confirmation of my refund. When we left he chased us up the road for payment, to which I reminded him of what he'd said and told him I hadn't had my refund yet. He then said I could pay by cash if I wanted. Now if I could pay by cash what was the point of going through all that and wasting 20 minutes of my time. Don't get me wrong the bartender was nice enough and very helpful but it seems the companies covid policy is well over the top and the staff spent more time with me trying to sort the app out than they would of had they just come outside and served me with a contactless card reader. When we left I was embarrassed to be shouted to in the street that I hadn't paid, after being told to pay once refunded, which I would have. I feel I should of been trusted to pay later after the trouble they had put me through. After all it...
Read moreOut on a night out after a course not from around Perth thought we’d try out a nice little local (thinking it’s like the ones up our way) DISGUSTING attitude from all bar staff the karaoke guy clearly thinks he’s the owner as he confrontationally approached our group who was having a laugh (usual in a pub where I’m from) quoting the phrase “I don’t accept that kind of behaviour in my pub” to witch we left disgusted with our treatment , working in events I’ve been in a lot of public entertainment venues and this is without a doubt the worst bar I’ve...
