Booked a table for 6.45 and arrived on time to be told fully booked and to be told to either come back in 20 mns or wait so we waited , eventually maybe after 10 mns or so we got seated and our orders taken but we had to ask if we could get drinks. We got the spicy poppadoms just as a side while waiting on our main meals and after a while the waiter asked if we were ready for our dessert, we says we hadn't ordered desserts and still waiting on our mains, about 30 mns later who I take it was the manager came over to aploigise about the wait as extremely busy. About another 15 mns we eventually got our meals and we asked the waiter what dish was what and he says this one is chicken and this is the lamb but he got it wrong and almost made my sick when she tried the lamb. They also forgot the rice, so we asked about the rice also after complaining about mixing the dishes. They did go and get us rice but half way through our meal the waiter came out and asked if we wanted to take the rice home with us, we asked what rice and he says , the rice you didn't get, we showed him we were eating it, why didn't he see it on our plate, confused?. The main courses were very nice but service was a complete joke . Have came here for years and will come back again as long as this document happen again and...
Read moreWe had takeaway curry last night from Bawarchi. Our honest opinion which hopefully the restaurant/ takeaway will acknowledge.
Vegetable Pakora starter was super salty and not fresh, burned and smelled bad like the oil hasn't been changed in the fryer.
King Prawn jinga tandoori main course was salty. Ok, you think prawns should be salty but you'd be wrong when expecting sweet tasting prawns. Not plump but varied soggy to tough. Bizarre.
Lamb Rogan Gosh was super salty and although the lamb was tender it was inedible just like the King Prawn and Veg Pakora.
The plain nan bread was charred like it was reheated from earlier.
We ate enough for it to cause a sleepless night with indegestion.
Most definitely not worth the approximately £30 spent. We had takeaway curry from Bawarchi last month which we'd rate 3/5 but thought would try again since Christmas time can be hit or miss. On this experience we won't be back. 1/5...
Read moreDon't know what went wrong.... curries were absolutely disgusting. I'm not sure what the curries actually were. I have eaten in the restaurant before which was lovely but tonight was a delivery. It was supposed to be traditional lamb curry ( was so salty it couldn't be eaten and the other was supposed to be chicken malaidar. I have never seen anything like it. This dish is a firm favourite and has been ordered in many different restaurants. I have never seen it look or taste like this. What a waste of £45 in this current climate. What an absolute shame all this food ended up in a bin bag.
Just to add management called and apologised. They are going to send another meal tomorrow as compensation. I do appreciate that the management here actually care about their customers...
