WORST EXPERIENCE If I could give my review 0 stars I would. My sister and I both have coeliac disease meaning we cannot eat even a crumb of gluten. I spoke to 4 members of staff, used their allergen board and I ordered a curry and my sister ordered a burger. I checked their allergen board by putting in the gluten allergy and it removed everything that had gluten, and it said that we could order the burger. I asked multiple staff if there would be a gluten free bun and if there was a separate fryer for the fries to avoid cross contamination, everyone was clueless so they passed me onto their duty managers. I found out that even though they had 3 fryers, not one of them was gluten free. This was fine, it wasn't an issue, I just asked if the tortilla chips were fried and if they weren't would it be possible to have some of them instead and he confirmed that was fine. I asked again if there was a gluten free bun and he said YES, so after checking about all the cross contamination and that there would be a gluten free bun we put the order through. I also asked if the poppadoms for the curry were gluten free and if they were fried, he said "yes they are gluten free but they are fried, we can put them in the oven instead". He came back and told me that they couldn't do that, which was bit annoying, but still it was fine, not a big deal. So we sat down and then our food arrived, they said "the purple flag is just to show your meal is gluten free don't worry about that." so we said great thank you. My sister noticed the bun looked very real looking so we asked another member of staff that I had previously spoken to "is this definitely gluten free it just looks so good?" They assured us yes it's gluten free, so we start eating and then I tasted her burger and said to her "that tastes way too good to be gluten free" so we ask another member of staff, "is this definitely gluten free, it just tastes way too good to be gluten free" they say "yes absolutely, all our buns are the same. we use brioche buns with no egg or milk" ???????? We then we ask them to check with the kitchen and then they proceed to tell us that they take no responsibility for allergies because there is an allergy board. The duty manager was incredibly rude and told me that I never asked him if the bun was gluten free which was a lie because I went through every single way the meal could have gluten and argued with me and my mum for 10 minutes. My sister and I both have been violently ill and on top of that, the service was appalling. If you have allergies please do not go here, clearly no one is trained for anything and the customer service was the worst I have ever received. The chefs aren't even aware bread had gluten in it. *pictured* a gluten bun with a gluten free marker in it and *second picture* pictured beside the "regular" bun my mum ordered. They confirmed both were the same even though we ordered gluten free.

I went 2 the Esquire House restaurant at Anniesland (with my mum) on Saturday morning. I had the mushroom Benedict breakfast. That's 2 poached eggs with 2 giant mushrooms & 2 muffins with Hollandaise sauce & rocket. πŸ³πŸ³πŸ„πŸ„πŸŒ±πŸƒπŸ΄I Also had a cup of coffee.🍡 Then had a second coffee (after I finished my breakfast) at the coffee machine 4 a re-fill.🍡my mum had just the scrambled egg on toast with a coffee. My posh brekkie was lovely & gorgeous. ❀ Never thought i would like it. But I loved it. Scoffed the whole lot. Also it was a nice change of scenery, eating out the Esquire House. I don't usually go there because I don't live at Anniesland. I'm from Maryhill. Me & mum decided 2 have our breakfast at the Esquire 4 a change. We walked from Maryhill, up 2 the canal & 2 anniesland. We did the same on our way back home. Walked from Anniesland, canal & Maryhill. Doing a walking exercise. Food & hot drink was fab. I Would love come here again 4 a breakfast or meal in the future, later this year or so. 5 out of 5 stars, a big smile & big thumbs up from me. βββββπŸ˜†πŸ‘

A great Wetherspoons in the west of Glasgow on great western rd next to Anniesland cross Drink was very reasonable as expected in Wetherspoons and table service was excellent from the App. At the most waited 10mins for my order when the pub was busy. Food is ok as you can expect for this type of place as I can imagine its mostly produced and turned around quickly Plenty regulars drink in this bar and it’s always interesting to people watch if you know what I mean

I used to frequent THE ESQUIRE when I was 18 and l loved it then. I have been there on funeral meals though the year's and everything went well. I haven't been out for nearly 2 years and my cousin Julie and Lorraine invited me out. I had the best day out there I've had in years and I'm now 71 years old. The meal was amazing and a really cheap day. Everyone in the staff were excellent and very helpful. Nothing was to much bother for them. The lady behind the bar even asked me if I would like to use the toilet in the lounge for which I was very grateful. I have to use inhalers. When I came out of the toilet. 1 of the young ladies asked me if I needed a wee glass of water. Absolutely brilliant helpful and spotlessly clean staff. I will definitely be back again next week and I'm bringing my husband with me πŸ¦πŸ›€Burd Baff PS my CUZ JULIE is in The Esquire House at least 4 times every week. She goes there on her own and she said that she feels Good about not feeling nervous as the Staff are very nice and friendly. Thanks TO EVERYONE WHO WORKS IN THE ESQUIRE I WOULD GIVE...

Sunday 5th August 6pm the service first class food excellent but the tables are always dirty always need to ask staff to remove the dishes and tables always dirty and sticky. My husband and I have been coming here since we were 18 and now 51. We were sitting at the booths up at the back upstairs enjoying our meal next to us in the next booth were 2 young lads and a female they were quite drunk and the girls language was shocking to say the least she was warned by one of your mangers tall to keep it down but it did not make a difference there was families with young children in and a lady with a young child there her language was awful so that they moved I think they should have been put out I would have said something but my husband does not like complaining and was frightened in case they kicked off I think you should put notices up saying bad language will not be tolerated and anyone doing so will be removed our good night turned into a awful night had to put the complaint in. But get your staff to clean tables and remove glasses.yours faithfully...
