Iām not one for leaving bad reviews anywhere, but because of the strange experience here Iām reviewing so others are better prepared than we were. The good reviews previously seem to have been aimed at past management and are what lead us there. We visited for coffee and cakes and they were brought in polystyrene burger containers. I ordered two slices of Biscoff cake for the children but we were actually given one slice of cake, the top iced half in one container and the bottom half in another. When I questioned why there was just one slice divided in two I was told bluntly that each bit was a whole slice, before he stormed away. However, we could see the cake in the cafe and it was definitely one slice divided yet we were charged for two. The other cake ordered was a tiny piece of the edge of a banana and walnut traybake that was rattling around in the container. The staff member did say this was unacceptable and brought another. The coffee was almost cold, not even luke warm, and we were so disappointed as it was a Saturday afternoon of a weekend visit to Inverness. You already tried to grab breakfast at another cafe but were unable and are now starving. You randomly decide to pop into this cafe because it was close and seemed quick. You then proceed to have the best sandwich of your life and nothing will ever top it.
I will be thinking about the Bacon, Brie, & Cranberry Toasty for the rest of my life. It greatly saddens me that I am but a sad American who will likely never be in Inverness again because that sandwich cured me of all of my ailments and immediately fixed my bad mood. I will forever fantasize about this meal. 11/10, could not...

Three times Iāve been in recently and experienced slow and indifferent service. Iāve been ignored at tables and at the counter by sometimes up to four staff at once, all desperately trying not to engage with customers.
Price wise at Ā£4 for a bacon roll itās definitely at the upper end cost wise for Inverness which I wouldnāt mind paying, if only I can get someone to take my order....
Itās a real shame as previously itās always been good and after what happened to the manager I wanted to carry on...
