I’ve been into Caffè Pompeii a few times now with several friends and I intentionally waited before posting a review, to see if the quality of service and food/drinks were as good as the first visit. The answer is a resounding yes! The food is all authentically Italian, the superb range of cakes, tortes, cheesecakes etc. are all imported directly from Italy and are absolutely fantastic. The coffee is also Italian, so you are experiencing genuine Italian fare here in the heart of Stirling. So, what makes it so authentic other than the produce being offered, well, the owner is Italian too, and he really cares about the experience that he is giving his customers. As an Italian myself , I thought would be nice to support an Italian business in Scotland of which I had read good reviews overall. My partner and I entered the shop shortly after 5pm, the place was open . From the get go the owner had an attitude about him , which made me feel very uncomfortable, he looked displeased to have customers around and rushed us into buying pastries which in the end we bought.
My point is, if you dont want people around cause its passed closing time then close the shop but don't treat people poorly when inside the promises since we had done nothing to deserve that sort of treatment.
