I have passed the bakery on several occasions but usually too late in the day to make the most of a visit. Today, I seized the opportunity to visit with a friend and all my expectations of the coffee shop were met and in fact went well beyond what I expected. We were greeted by a super happy and super friendly trio who sat us down and took our order almost immediately. My friend and I shared a single portion of the cinnamon bread which tasted incredible and was warmed to make the eating experience even more pleasurable. The coffee is strong and is made to perfection. I had two cups and both hit the spot each time. We had an errand to run so paid up in advance to get our names on a curry pie and a quiche Lorraine. We learnt that these were in fact made in Doune and not in the bakery. The quality however was not lacking! Both were very tasty. We returned after our errand and decided to eat in once again. There was a rush at lunchtime with most people taking food out. There are only 3 tables to sit in, so I would reccomend avoiding the busy periods. I look forward to meeting the small team keeping this place running again and for those of you passing by, you will be drawn in by the wonderful smell of fresh baking.

A fabulous bakery. A wonderful selection of buns, cakes, biscuits, scones, bread and sandwiches. They even do delicious gluten free biscuits, cakes and sandwiches! They put so much effort into making everything - always coming up with new things. Everything looks beautiful, they taste delicious, and you can see the lovely friendly staff and bakers baking and making everything behind the counters. Delicious coffee from a local supplier as well. And often little leaflets and booklets about what’s going on in the Stirling area creatively. Cannot fault them. Once you’ve been to this bakery, you won’t want to go anywhere else. A real treat. And a super selection of scrummy delicious delicacies - in not such delicate sizes! Yum. I loved the blueberries (real & juicy whole blueberries) and cream sponge slice. A bakery-lover’s dream. Pictured: gluten free Chocolate Cookies & Peanut Butter Sugary Cream filling (enormous!).

Beautiful fresh baked goods, a touch too sweet. Came here for a cheeky afternoon tea and came away very impressed. I had cinnamon swirl and hot chocolate, wife had tea and scone. Cinnamon swirl was really tasty, you can taste the difference that it's freshly baked. I found it a touch too sweet - as in a little bit of heart burn afterwards, that sweet. Maybe I'm just getting old, but that's how it was. Wife also commented on how fresh and fluffy the scone was. We also bought a loaf of sourdough which I used for sandwiches. They were bangin! second visit: had the full cooked breakfast which was very good, all the usual trimmings, was excellent. Ketchup etc was served in those little sachets, would have preferred a proper bottle of it, but over a good experience. 8/10

it's with a heavy heart I'm writing this, I have loved Vera since they started doing deliveries during lockdown! I have been to the cafe a good few times now, hadn't been in a while and honestly feel the food has went down hill 😩 it's a shame as my mum said " I really want to go somewhere nice" so I said we should go here.

My mum's food looked like something you would get out of a snack van, my meal had a major part of the ingredients missing ... I got an apology and the food remade but how would a chef not notice potatoes missing from a hash? The portion has also seemed alot smaller than before and now missing the sourdough you used to get with it. Both our cake/desserts were dry and we did leave them after a couple of bites. For the price your paying you really want it to be worth it and it definitely wasn't.

The customer service is great and everyone is absolutely lovely but the food was honestly a massive...
