Due to starting college in the City, I found this delightful coffee shop in the city centre. From the great service from Emily, other staff and the lovely atmosphere, I highly recommend this place. Such a cosy and clean place. Nice to see customers all speaking to one another in the passing also, which showed me that they clearly have a loyal customer base. I shall definitely be making this my regular stop.

Been here many times and will be back for many more. Staff are some of the most friendly I have come across and go above and beyond for customers. Food and hot drinks are delicious. Definitely recommend here!

Great coffee, great music, but you'll be accused of abusing the free electricity, wifi and warmth if you want to work on your laptop. Full incident here for anyone interested: I was in enjoying my coffee for about an hour and 45 minutes (checked timestamp of my laptop, she contradicted me) and the owner told me I have to leave, because I'm using up more than I'm spending. I had an open 'bar tab' and I was going to order more coffee and lunch since it was getting to 1pm, but I haven't even finished the one I currently had! I was on a bigger table because I was nervous about people bumping into it and spilling my coffee mug over my laptop, and because I was planning on having my drawing tablet out but I never got to that point. If a big group of people walked in I would've moved without being asked, but the cafe wasn't busy throughout lunch or when I was told to leave, maybe 5 tables were free. At first I felt so bad but when I got home I checked my laptop's usage and even with the new prices, at the time of this review I costed the cafe about 6p! She saw how upset I was about causing trouble and allowed me to stay if I ordered more, but I was so uncomfortable after. It's too bad because it was my favourite coffee shop before this incident, but I won't return and I will tell everyone else about it too. This is also not the first time I see the owner asking people to leave for things like talking loudly. I wish there was more tact in the discussion, like being asked if I'd like to order more instead of flat out 'you...

I wished I had read the comments before I came here. Much like another commenter, I came in just after 8AM, took a seat, had some food and stayed for about an hour just to catch up on some uni work. The cafe wasn't busy at all and I only took one seat but just after 9AM the staff asked me if I could leave claiming they "needed the table" (with at least 5 other empty tables and no new customers). There were other customers that came in at the same time as me but they weren't asked to leave, only me. The funny thing is that I was only staying for another 10 minutes or so before I headed off to class, I didn't even get a minute to finish the one thing I was doing. This is definitely not a student/ worker friendly place! I liked that this cafe open at 7AM so I had time to have a bite to eat do some work and head to class but I am definitely never stepping foot in here ever again. The staff that was in when I came in at 8 was absolutely amazing! But the (different) person that came to ask me to leave was...

Went in today at 4.40, as usual for a coffee and a cake, I go in wait on my wife and read the paper, however when I was ordering I was told in a not very pleasant manner, we close at 5, I acknowledged that information paid and sat down, I was served promptly by the other lady on duty, however I was not impressed with the manner I was spoken too, the lady had a very miserable expression and came across as a bit angry, by the mess of the tables, I can only assume Friday afternoon had been busy, I complied with the 5pm deadline, and left just before, I was annoyed as at 10 past 5 customers were still sitting in the shop, I wonder, was it just a bad day, and why I was given this 5pm deadline and the customer in front of me was not, one of my favorite places to wait for my wife, however think I will try the newer arrivals, a real shame as some of the staff are excellent as was the lady who served me today, shame the one who took my order was...
