Well where to start............ Arrived and chose to sit in the quiet upstairs area(4 adults). 2 members of the group went to order food with no issue. Second order placed came within 10 minutes, the order placed first never appeared so after 25 minutes of waiting we asked a member of staff who had been delivering food to other tables if she knew how long our food would be as the others in our party had now finished and it had been 25 minutes. When she arrived back we were rudely told, did the bar not tell you it would be 25 minutes, coincidentally the same amount of time we had been waiting. Although others (about 7 tables) had been receiving their meals in this time which were somewhat the same as ours. She then appeared 5 or so minutes later with both the 'missing' meals, minus the chips from one, which came shortly after.

Now I am not one to moan but the toastie I ordered was the saddest looking toastie I have ever seen, barely toasted, very little filling and just warm. We had scampi and chips and a toastie with chips and I'm still unsure as to why there was a 25 minute wait when others got burgers, nachos, scampi and open sandwiches in this time.

I think what really irked us the most is the rudeness of the member of staff and no apology was made at any point. Which to be honest was all we really required, not to be made to feel it was our fault for asking where our food was

All in all an awful experience, rubbish food and will not be...

Plenty of TV's to watch sport. However they were all on different events, sound turned down & music playing. Food was fine however there are some issues with the menu. We ordered a Margarita Spritz from the cocktail menu only to be told that definitely isn't on the menu. After producing a menu & pointing out that it was, we were then told they don't get supplied with the ingredients to make it. After asking if they had Tequila, soda water and limes (they did) but they still couldn't make one as they didn't have ready mixed soda water with lime. Chicken burger arrived without the onion rings 'all our burgers come with onion rings' says the menu. We asked where they were only to be told they don't serve them in this bar. Ordered hot chocolate from the menu...you guessed it, they didn't serve that. Was told if we used the app to order instead of the menu we would have known this. Apps are not for everyone plus they have an app but there wasn't any WiFi. OK place if you want to play...

In Dundee for work. Staying for a few days. Found this place and reviews on Google maps. Went in and ordered a beer, asked the barman how the food was and was told it was "great". Decided to give it a go. Ordered the Haggis Fritters. Got 2 wee burnt samples, peppercorn sauce was like wallpaper paste. Wouldn't even pour out the fancy tiny saucepan things. Next came the supposed "steak pie" lol Absolutely a joke. Some miserly bits of some sort of meat (8 skinny pieces) stuffed into a puff pastry. My dog gets better and a bigger portion. Again the "gravy" you could have filled cracks in wall with. Wouldn't pour out the little copper saucepan and was like jelly.

The selected Malbec on the red wine list, described as " intense, big and smooth with dark fruit and spice" was dry and tasteless @ £8.10 250ml glass.

Absolutely RANK ROTTEN.

The whole place is tired and filthy, especially the "gents".

Avoid at all costs, wouldn't step over the door ever again.

Away to find a chippy,...

I don't normally write reviews, but in this case I've had to make an exception. Starting with ambiance/environment, plenty of seating available. Seated upstairs, it was quiet and comfy. Each area has its own TV screen so you can enjoy whatever you fancy. Drinks were super cheap; as low as 3.30£ for some ales. Food was cheap too. We thoroughly enjoyed the mix and share - 5 dishes for 23.5£. Food was incredible. Hot, well-cooked and the flavours were on point. Prawns were bland but that's to be expected. Shout-out to the waitress serving us. Didn't get her name but she was a young, brunette Scottish girl (I've had to change it from blond to brunette after I conferred with my mates, I was too lost in her pretty eyes to notice, apologies!!). She was absolutely fantastic. Asked us several times whether we were okay, enjoying the food, and cleared the empty plates promptly. She was very kind, polite and had a lovely smile. Seriously she deserves a bonus or something. 10/10 experience.

Nipped in for some food as was passing by, quite empty for the time of day (12:30pm) so there were plenty of tables available. Ordered drinks and food through the Greene King App & service was very quick. Drinks came within 5 minutes of ordering & food was probably 15. Good portion sizes for the price & everything was cooked properly (Not burnt or undercooked). We had the Katsu Chicken Burger and the Fish & Chips, would recommend both! The waitress was polite but efficient (Sorry, didn't catch a name!) and had amazing timing when asking if everything was ok etc. Not a local, but would return if in the area again! Only disappointed is that the menu is smaller than my local (Nottinghamshire) and there wasn't as much choice but nevertheless there's still a good selection 😊

Starting with the good: The service is great and everyone is very friendly. We ordered fish and chips, and steak pie. The fish was great, nice and flaky with crispy batter. The tartar sauce is tasty, too. The chips were excellent! Now, on to the not so great. The steak pie was unfortunately quite bad (and quite small). The steak was way overdone and mushy. The puff pastry was hard and just not edible. Both of us had garden peas with our meal and they were cold. This was probably connected to the cold plates/service dishes. We did let staff know and they very kindly replaced the steak pie with fish and it was much appreciated. Overall, we’d be back for beers, but probably not for food.
