Went in to order a kebab, what happened next was mind blowing. First, the restaurant was pretty much empty, 3 or 4 tables with people at the most. As I order I see someone from one of the tables not happy complaining, whilst the front room staff struggle to get a few orders out, the manager looks like he is in the limbo.
When ordering, the guy asks chicken, beef, or mixed to which I clearly say BEEF, he thought I'd said chicken, listen to your customers please! There are many reviews talking about how people are not being listened properly with their order and it absolutely right.
After I order, I decide to ask how long is the wait for the wrap, the clerk asks and says between 15-20 minutes. WHAT? HAHHAAHA, 15-20 minutes for a simple wrap when it is full of staff, I decide to go to the toilet and talk to my wife outside as she is waiting with the bicycles and we need to get the train in 16 minutes. After a while I decide it is probably not going to be worth the wait, as the staff don't seem to be knowing what they are doing and even the delivery drivers that are waiting there are clueless as to what is happening.
I mean, I do not expect food to be instant, I have worked in hospitality before. But the service that I got, the lack of professionalism, and then to top it all off, the manager talking to me like if he really did not care about anything that was happening in the building, were clear red flags to me to get out of there as quickly as I could.
Good luck and I hope you improve your service and customer service, for your own good and the...
Read moreDoner kebab is one of those things in the UK that is a bit of a guilty pleasure for almost everyone. It's typically more than just a little bit greasy, poorly portioned and of questionable quality sourced from who-knows where bought from the kind of place you'd be reluctant to show or take anyone else because it almost feels dirty. Like a perverse guilty pleasure that makes you feel a little gross afterwards.
However, German Doner Kebab is none of those things while still tasting very much like what you'd want. It's a chain with outstanding consistancy at a decent if not a little high price and great selection of food. The store is always clean, the service is good and the calories remarkably low for what you get. (I'm particularly fond of their healthier Kcal Kebab without the optional salad which uses exclusively their spicy sauce & wholewheat bread) and I never feel bad after eating it. I take people here all the time and they all say the same "It's like a local kebab shop but actually good and consistant" - I know that's such a weird thing to say but try it. I love this place and it's one of my go-tos on a night out for a quick, affordable...
Read moreVisited here yesterday, have never been to any of the German Doner Kebab stores before but have heard positive things so me and my partner decided to give it a try while we were in Stirling. Restaurant is big and clean, good first impressions as soon as you walk in. I ordered a mixed kebab with chips and cheese sauce, this also came with jalapeños on top, and my partner ordered a mixed wrap with chips. We also got 2 spring rolls to try, one chicken and one beef. We both decided to get drinks: a large mixed tango ice blast and a can of iron bru. We ordered on self service machines and this was easy to do. We sat at our table and drinks came super quick. By the time I had gone to the toilet and came back the food was arriving at our table. Speedy and amazing service! The guy who served us was great at his job! Food was amazing! Portion size was quite small for the price paid but food was still good. I wasn’t feeling too hungry today so portion size was ok but usually would want more food. Cheese sauce was really good, one of the best I’ve tried. Would probably...
