We decided to visit this pub after seeing appealing photos and positive reviews online. It had the typical pub atmosphere and was quite busy, but we managed to find a table. We ordered nachos, only to be informed they were out of grated cheese. We went ahead with our order anyway, and although they claimed to substitute with extra cheese sauce, it didn't seem like it.

The nachos took 40 minutes to arrive. After we had finished them, a server asked if we were done with our cutlery, which we found odd since we hadn't even received the rest of our food yet. In total, we waited an hour for our main dishes. Unfortunately, this meant we ended up eating during the bingo session, which we had hoped to avoid. (We arrived and ordered before 6 PM, but bingo started at 7 PM).

When the food finally arrived, it was okay but nothing special. The mac and cheese tasted like a ready meal, and the hunters chicken was quite chewy. The atmosphere was decent, with plenty of screens for watching football, and the pub seemed very popular for bingo. However, the food and service did not meet our...

The food 😋 for anyone working on a budget, the food and quality is good, I love the roast Sunday beef & Turkey is a option. For £9 you can't go wrong, along with that you have a 2 meal menu for £13.99 every day! The options are incredibly good! The steak and ale pie is delicious 😋 The service is relaxing and you shouldn't expect immediate attention! but when you are served by staff, Not only are they attentive and knowledgeable, if they don't know how to answer your question, they will talk with a manager and come back with honesty 😉 Atmosphere The Atmosphere is very relaxed and customer's are able to relax and enjoy themselves, the staff have a strong commitment to the establishment and they totally enjoy their working environment. It's also exceptionally dog 🐕 friendly. Wish I could find a place like this everywhere I...

Very good bar/restaurant just off dumfries main street.

The inside decoration is modern and comfortable with the staff being attentive and knowing how long to leave each group/person before asking for their order or drinks.

Having ate here in 2 night I was impressed with both meals. The first was the katsu burger which was one of the best chicken burgers I've had in a while and the second night was the Belhaven steak pie. Both were filling and came with generous sides for how much you got as a main for a very good price. The second night I choose to try the chocolate fudge cake with custard, which again did not disappoint.

Both times I was given a table booth which all have a small TV thatbis showing the sports.

In all I would highly recommend this place if you are staying over in dumfries or are there during...

Great food served at the Granary by very friendly and helpful staff. David's service was exemplary - he rang us up before our visit to advance warn us of the Bingo night that evening given we had asked for a quieter area of the pub to discuss options (though difficult given the expected business!), going further to allow pre-booking of the (delicious may I add) Haggis meals we had to avoid disappointment on the busy evening. Decor was good too. Great to see establishments like the Granary exist, leading by example. Well done to the team.

Ordered the salt beef burger . Pics and description show 2 burgers . My meal came with 1. When I asked about the second burger I was told the burger In the picture was one burger cut in half 2look like two .. that's ridiculous and false advertising. Our table was a group of 4 couples. Ordered were put through one after the other but took from 15 mins to half an hour between orders to arrive so everyone was eating at different times
