I have always been a big fan and used the come here fairly regularly before lockdown. However, since reopening something is not right. There doesn’t seem to be anyone managing it and staff operate without any overall coordination. I’ve been there five times since reopening and the same issues have happened on each occasion. No menus on the tables and staff seem unsure when asked what is available. One staff members English is at a basic level and got my order wrong more than one occasion and other tables nearby orders were wrong. When asking the same staff member for sugar I have had to ask up to three times to get it. On one occasion I eventually had to go inside and help myself. Outdoor seating is not adequately spaced apart for social distancing and your literally back to back with neighbouring tables. I saw many people come and go and tables reused with no cleaning in between. Perhaps there’s been a change in management but an urgent review of the basics...

Returned after not visiting in a while for a quick lunch.

The staff were clearly working hard and greeted us.

after ordering our sandwiches/bagel came quickly and looked fantastic and had been warmed up nicely. Sadly our drinks took a week while longer to come giving us the choice to eat the food warm or wait for a drink.

The front door was also open as was one of the nice big windows which must be fantastic in summer or warm days. (Sadly it wasn’t when we visited)

My flat white wasn’t particularly great and the fresh orange juice I thought would be from the great looking fresh orange juice squeezing machine was instead from a bottle

The food was great so overall a bit of a swing and a miss. A shame when there are better...

Great wee place. My gf has raved about their coffees for ages but this was a chance to try the food as a venue for a get together with an old pal. Well worth the wait. Compact but quality menu. Yes, the coffee was spot on but that food...outstanding. We had brunch. Very good sized portions. Service was top notch even though they were busy. Oh and we had a max 10 min wait for a table. We sat outside under the awning and never felt the cold but it is decently sized inside as well. No hesitation in recommending and will certainly not be waiting so long before...

Eating outside in the sun was reminiscent of eating out abroad. After looking at the menu my husband had the Spanokopita with side salad and bread and as there was no vegetable pasta available I settled for the stuffed pepper. Have to say that even though the tables were busy that the service was quick and polite. We also ordered a cappuccino and a flat white coffee to accompany the meal. I was "stuffed" with the stuffed pepper and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his meal too. Along with the 2 coffees it was very reasonable at £21.30. Will return at a later date.👍

Tbh for £27 I did expect so much better. My toasty was almost inedible due to the amount of oil and salad dressing on the rocket and toasty. The menu looked good, however the simple food was ruined by pretentious preparation and unnecessary additions. Ingredients should deliver taste for themselves without the need for a bucket load of extra rocket and dressings. Service however was excellent. Sadly at this time of day, early morning not much else open.

On a lazy rainy monday morning, Kothel was the best place with excellent food and ambience to pump our energies to start work. A wide range of Mediterranean food and confectionery. Soft light music in the background makes this place soothing.. we had heavy brunch comprising of Ciabatta, brownies and Caramel Latte. Ofcourse we were making the most out of the eat out scheme.. amd paid only 7 gbp each for this hearty brunch. Do visit them if in Glasgow!
