Linen 1906 — Restaurant in Scotland

I got back to Glasgow last night, having worked all week down south. I got to Brodie's just a bit too late as I'd missed last orders, so I walked up to Linen with my wife, just looking forward to a couple of beers after a hellish week at work. The resident music host (Des) of Linen was talking to a bunch of of friends/customers outside, and as I arrived, he gesticulated by stretching out his arms, as you do. I stepped to the side to avoid his arm, and then walked to the door, only to be told by a very aggressive and antagonistic female, short-haired, blonde door-woman with an English accent that I had staggered on my approach and was not allowed into the bar. She did not ask if I had been drinking beforehand, she did not ask me anything, she just seemed desperate to stop me getting in. I hadn't had a drink, I didn't challenge her, she just wanted to be obnoxious. Best avoided, if she is an example of...

Was in on Wed 18th May for Rangers game and won £100 out of the fruit machine and it paid nothing out. Two members of staff witnessed this and I took a picture. I went in a couple of days later and they confirmed the mistake but said only £60 had been given back by engineer. I have been in several times since and I keep getting fobbed off with a excuse that no one has been in to fix machine although it's now working. The £40 is not the issue it's the way I have been treated. I have tried all platforms to contact the pub and I have had no reply. I used to go into Linen twice a week but will now not return. I hope you enjoy the £40 Mr owner as you clearly need it...

Went as it was available on route to our planned day.

Soon as we got in the waitress was very welcoming and friendly. Was happy to have us and felt comfortable straight away. When we got seated I believe it was the owner or manager then came to greet us and make sure we were comfortable and warm.

The food was great the staff were friendly and everyone around us where also catered to in the same manner.

Would reccomend for sure and if I'm ever around the area again this is where I would plan to...
