Macnab´s — Restaurant in Scotland

My son who has mental health issues and his son who by the way is autistic , came to mcnabbs to get out of the snow today. They were soaked through and were there to wait to be picked up,as they had been waiting two hours on a bus in the freezing cold. Having bought drinks in the bar , they were asked to leave because there was a funeral on. It wasn’t appropriate for them to be there said the staff . Was it appropriate when they bought drinks from you? How heartless do you have to be to throw a child a dog and two adults back out into the snow . You are disgusting shameless profiteers. Couldn’t you have offered somewhere else for them to sit ? Customer service ? What customer service? Shame on you .And just for an added bonus my grandson was so stressed he had a nosebleed. My son had already contacted me to ask me to come to pick them up and told me he had bought a drink and hot drinks for his family, no mention of you can’t come in or we can’t sell you a drink as this is a private function, so although the owner states I wasn’t there , neither was the owner as a staff member came over and spoke to my son, who says that he explained the situation and told the staff member my grandsons feet were soaking and he was freezing but was still asked to leave. I don’t have any bias, except for the treatment of my family. Staff were nice enough but the food seemed like something you’d get from a snack van. I’m surprised by the good reviews. Fries were the skinny cheap ones not cooked very well either. Overall no where near our standards for decent food at all. But I wish your business well.

Edit** As I cannot reply to your reply. I feel you’ve been upset by this review but it’s our experience. The fries in our opinion were rubbish that’s our opinion. I didn’t feel the standard was up to much at all it was so basic. The Lade in is the type of standard we look for in a bar meal. Amd that’s all it is standards and different viewpoints. We felt your food is very basic and wouldn’t return that’s all. I’m sure many people enjoy it and that’s fine. But unfortunately getting upset when people don’t rate the quality doesn’t make sense. In my recent post about the staffs blatant discrimination nowhere did we see signs of any private function being held, the fact is no where in or around the premises suggested it was fully booked and private functions should have been solely that and blocked off, there was no signs whatsoever and the bar staff had the opportunity to turn us away and let us know of the private function witch they didn’t, but they were more than happy to take our money and tell us to leave after buying said drinks and not say a word, nowhere did it say the cafe was also booked 🤔 soo no and you suggested walking all the way back to where we came from when the mcnabs is right where we needed to get the bus back home soo wouldn’t have made sense giving the dangerous weather conditions it’s absolute diabolical that you and staff would make us feel like trash , the fact that there were no signs that the entire place was booked was down to the poor staffing no signs as to it being fully booked soo the mcnabs is in the...
