Looked lovely from the outside and after peering through the peephole on the door it looked very welcoming. After being seated we were told to come to the counter to order our lunch. Well under the present situation it is a bit strange that we have to move about the cafe reducing social distancing and be in close contact with other patrons, even though we were wearing face coverings. Also at no point were we asked for our details for the track and trace. There was a strange looking barcode on the table that we had to use our cameras on our smart phones to take a picture then it would redirect us to a website to enter our details. Sorry none of us had phones on us that day! We even tried to ask a member of staff to take details but ignored. Food mediocre. Not a big choice. Ciabattas or nothing. Coffee really good. Won't be back due to their strange track and trace ideas. Oh might I add we never left...

Good selection of delicious fresh baking. Various options on types of milks and syrups for hot drinks . When there was no "plain" enuff sandwich or roll for my young Grandson the assistant was very quick to offer him something that could be made up for him which went down a treat! This makes all the difference to us as customers so we have since returned for more of the same. Thanks.

So we visited for the last time today (Saturday 11th). We've been on lewis for a week and have visited this cafe 3 times. Lovely Bacon roll today and Caramel flapjack, all fresh and delicious. However I wanted to say that we as a family of five with drinks and eats our Bill was around £34. Which I think is excellent...

I have come here many times. Last time was a year ago and was very good. This time I waited 15mins to be served. Lunchtime has no sandwiches, no cream for hot chocolate and the flat white tasted very burnt. I have edited this post as I was too harsh with my previous comment. As the owner said in their reply, I had enjoyed my time here in the past. I should not let one time define my over all experience. Let's just hope the next time I return that it will be...

Our first visit to a cafe since lockdown. A lovely quaint caffe with a shop upstairs. They were very busy but maintained the distance rules. Very friendly staff and the cakes were delicious. My husbands chocolate cake was moist and huge! My scone was perfect, a light crunch on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. Highly recommend for a light snack or sweet treat.

I booked a table for their evening Halloween Party and ordered cocktails and grazing boards to share with friends. The grazing boards were really delicious and the Halloween-themed cocktails were lovely too. It has a really nice atmosphere in the evening, we really enjoyed it.

A nice relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. They have a decent selection of beers and spirits. The coffee is great, and hot chocolate is presented well. All in all a great little Hideaway when visiting Stornoway....giftshop upstairs aswell.
