I where do I start? đ Settle in, gang - this is a big one! My partner, myself (I'm four months pregnant) and our 20 month old son, Noah, arrived after walking all over Glasgow city centre in the heat, looking for somewhere which does noodles and this was our third attempt. The first was closed and the second looked kinda sketchy so when we walked in here, we were delighted at how welcoming and inviting it was! Immediately we were greeted by one of the three servers on duty and she sat us at a great table by the window, beside the till. Noah loved looking out the window and, when a second server approached us to take our order, she produced a bunch of post it pads and pens for him to play with. These gestures to a parent mean the world but then, not only did she continue to interact with him every time she came to the till area, but so did the other two servers too! Noah was made up at the attention and we felt so comfortable - something you don't always get the luxury of experiencing when you take your toddler out to lunch. What's more, they brought him his own little bowl of noodles and kids cutlery! Then Andy, one of the servers, showed us a really cool trick to turn regular chopsticks into child friendly ones. The three servers continued to give Noah attention and interacted with us all throughout our visit. We were blown away already. And that's just the service. Then there's the small matter of the food. My partner and I both had gyoza and ramen. He had the salmon and I had the chicken. All of which were delicious. Immense flavour, nothing too overpowering, excellent portion sizes and beautifully presented. There is nothing either of us could fault. Even the egg on top was cooked perfectly! Had I not been pregnant, I would have demolished a ton of nigiri as well but I guess that's on the menu for next year! If all of that wasn't enough, there's also the music. Exactly our taste! Eventually we asked Andy if it was a particular playlist and he showed us exactly where on Spotify to find it! So even the car journey home was made special! I never even knew this place existed but my partner and I both agreed that this is now our go-to place in Glasgow. There is nothing I would change about our experience. I'm only sorry we can't come more often but rest assured, we will...

For someone who has been absolutely terrified of trying new things especially Ramen, our waiter Dylanâs service was absolutely outstanding and was great at accommodating my fussiness lol. We were situated at the back with the table that looks like a desk as we had our 6 month old with us so there was plenty of space for him. Upon arrival to our table I told Dylan about how nervous I was as it was all very new to me and that I wouldnât touch seafood or anything spicy. He was fab at explaining the menu in great detail as well as the flavour profiles and pointing out which ramen dishes had the most resemblance to like a chicken noodle soup broth as I canât do spice, not even a little bit. He offered to let me try some of the broths before I decided and returned with two whole soup bowls of broth for us to sample. I went with the tonkotsu and my partner went for the black garlic tonkotsu so we could both try each others. Dylan recommended I get it with chicken as it was the best in his opinion. He was not wrong. Honestly was the best thing I have ever tasted in my life. Dylanâs attitude and kind courtesy towards us was immaculate from start to finish. Has to be one of the best experiences Iâve had in a long time. If your anything like me, ask for Dylan, he is more than happy to accommodate even the fussiest of eaters. Please give this...
Read moreOh boy, where to start. We ordered the vegan hell ramen. Upon arrival, we were presented with a bowl of soupy vermicelli. The key word is ramen, the menu didnât mention anything about using rice noodle which doesnât work at all for ramen. It shouldnât even be called ramen for that reason. Ramen should be wheat noodle⌠we also ordered mixed vegetable soba noodle which was instead the most basic wheat noodle mixed with too much teriyaki sauce and was very sweet. I donât believe it was even soba noodle at all. We asked if the âsobaâ noodle was vegan before ordering and was told it was, so why couldnât the vegan hell ramen have used that instead? Ramen shouldnât be served with rice noodle and any other wheat noodle wouldnât have been better because the broth was actually really tasty but the vermicelli totally ruined it. To top it all off, the waitress was very rude it was actually uncomfortable. After every item we ordered sheâd ask âis that everything?â Like weâre bothering her. Just not friendly at all and she didnât give us any cutlery at all with the seaweed salad to begin with and didnât get any until we asked her and she didnât apologise or anything. Honestly if you want genuinely good ramen, vegan or not, RAMEN DAYO! in Ashton lane is way way better. Canât...
