Nonna Said is a wee gem nestled in Glasgow's Merchant City. From the minute we got inside, we were greeted by a lively atmosphere , with 80s graffiti and the beats of hip hop music 🎶 The menu is a fusion of traditional Napoli-style pizzas with a twist. We ordered the Philly Cheesesteak pizza, which was a delicious and unique take on the classic sandwich 🥪 Along with this, we shared 6 side plates, offering a variety of flavours. While the offer of 3 side plates for £20 felt a bit pricey 💸, especially considering the portion sizes were quite small, the quality of the dishes somewhat makes up for this. The cocktails are not only reasonably priced but also crafted to perfection 🍹 What truly sets Nonna Said apart is the warm and welcoming staff 😊. They go above and beyond to ensure every person is attended too whether you're there for a quick bite before a gig or a leisurely dinner with friends. The addition of a pool table 🎱 and regular quiz nights adds to the fun! Overall, Nonna Said is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy great food, a lively atmosphere, and excellent service. 🌟

Only reviewing the food and not the wait staff as we ordered pizza from the hatch outside Baad to sit outside in the courtyard but oh my god the vegan gluten free option was so bad that my friends and I burst out laughing the moment we opened our boxes. Theirs was a pizza with normal base and normal cheese which looked and tasted very nice apparently. Mines can be seen in the photo 😂. Was too tired and hungry to take it back so I tried a slice (which was a full quarter for some reason??) and it tasted like the sad “microwave pizzas” K tried to make in uni with tortilla wraps as a base (for clarity I don’t think that’s how they made it, it just had similar taste and texture). The worst part is it was £2 extra for vegan cheese and gluten free base so I paid £18 for this thing 😭 If you can’t make a half way decent alternative for people with lactose/other dietary issues just take it off the menu so people can try somewhere else and not waste their energy and money. I mean look at the thing!!😭

Popped in on a weekday afternoon around half 2 as we had an itison voucher, suppose it was a bit of a strange time between lunch and dinner but I really don't understand why we were the only people in the place. The decor is so fun, they've really put a lot of thought into it and there is a photo booth, arcade games etc if you want to have a go. The menu itself is quite varied, we opted for philly cheese steak and pepperoni pizzas with a side of nachos, the pizzas were delicious, just the right amount of toppings and the nachos have that really good cheese sauce on them that makes sure every chip is coated. The cocktail menu is quite fun too (some random ingredients also, strawberry MD!) We had a yer da sells Avon, yer maws a plumber and a 2 in the pink - all of which were really delicious. Even without the deal it is quite reasonably priced, I think the dearest pizza is around £12 and will definitely be back to try more, especially the parmesan truffle gnocchi.

Poor experience. Food came a bit cold & cocktail glass had some food on it. Didn’t want to complain as it’s just wee things but worth mentioning if your thinking of going. Main issue was the upselling/ sales attitude. Constant do u want drinks, more food and do u want ice cream? asked this 8 times in space of 30 mins. Bombarded start to finish which was super off putting. Friendly staff but very pushy. Guy with glasses and balding head particularly so he even made a joke about how pushy he was to us. Weird but ok. Got bill but had to ask twice for card machine as short brown hair guy never came back- saw him doing something else behind the bar area for 5/10 mins so figured he forgot . Again usually don’t care but after everything just a further irritation. Once paid on contactless , only then asked how food was 😂 almost comically timed. I’ve ate and paid for it now lol ! If it wasn’t for the pushy attitude would have been a below average visit. Think managers need to chill out on the upselling training & wash the glassware as well. Maybe put the food under a heat lamp that actually works . Positives - cool murals & food taste was fine. Btw they have those tall ‘indrustial’ uncomfortable metal seats- avoid for longer visits/ if you are functionally disabled or have a big sacrum like...

Came here with my girlfriend for a casual dinner after a long train up from the South of England. Upon arrival we were greeted by and extremely friendly waiter who offered us a wide range of seating. We ordered two cocktails each. For me the drinks were the standard you'd expect them to be, my girlfriend loved hers. There is a lot to choose from. For dinner I ordered the Indian style pizza and the gnocchi. My other half the garlic and bell pepper pizza. Firstly the gnocchi was excellent. Both me and my girlfriend love italian food and havent had fried gnocchi before. we usually take pictures if our food, but it was gone before we even thought of that. Again both of our Pizzas were amazing! Mine was extremely unique and was a wonderful balance off flavour. My Girlfriends was a balance of classic taste, but with a modern twist, she loved hers too. For dessert we ordered the biscoff cookie dough. It was very small and was pretty standard for cookie dough, if I went again I wouldn't order it as I don't think it represents value for money. I get the feeling its not really a dessert place. However the quality of everything else warrants a 5 star review. Finally all of the wait staff were extremely friendly and attentive. One of the best pizzas I've had in the uk,...

Dined here last night after wanting to go for ages and was left disappointed. I got the impression that the staff were struggling to keep up even though there seemed to be plenty around and the place was around 50% capacity.

When we walked in the first thing we saw was a bar crammed full of used glasses needing attended do and we had to wait there for a few mins as our pre poked table was not ready (even though the place was half empty).

Cocktails came in reasonable time and were nice. Food took quite a while to come and part of our order was missing. Asked a member of staff about this item. Then tried to eat very slowly to allow time for it to arrive, yet it arrived an hour after we ordered and we’d both finished our pizzas.

To the credit of the staff, who were always polite, seeing as we’d already finished our main meal the very delayed side was pointless, they agreed that it could be sent back and deducted from the bill without fuss.

We then had to ask for that bill 3 times, again with a very ling wait. By this time the place was quieter yet it just seemed like the staff were run off their feet.

Had the service been a more acceptable speed and we’d actually got all the food we ordered this would have been a 4* review but based on last night I would...
