Where to start with boteco do Brasilia there are so many things that I love about this restaurant.
They have a fantastic range of drinks, alcoholic and none. If you're looking for an exciting coffee experience, you should try some. The coffee here carries me away to Brazil.
The Food The food in this place is incredible, so much choice and variety from Brazil. Every time we go there, we try something new. Some of my favourites are Risoli de camarao, berinjeal ao forno, brigadeiro. It is all freshly prepared, and the portion sizes are excellent; they will fill up the most hungry of person. It is also an outstanding value for money. There are also great options for vegetarians.
When we go for food, it causes arguments because we're fighting over the last piece. They also have all sorts of starters that you can enjoy at the bar with a drink. They also do great exclusive deals.
The Entertainment The entertainment here is fantastic; they always have excellent music. They also have everything from live music open mic night and salsa dancing. My favourite is the samba dancing that the girls do it's fantastic.
Accessibility They are no problems getting a wheelchair into this restaurant or around it, and they have a perfectly adequate disabled bathroom.
Staff and the restaurant The team here are amazing very attentive to your needs always got a smile and willing to help. The whole place is immaculate you could eat your dinner off the table; it's that clean.
We had a birthday party here in August. The restaurant can put together a party pack; there are a few choices. We took one of their party packs which included a free cocktail for the birthday person Prosecco and a lovely homemade cake. The cake was delicious did not it last five minutes once our group got one taste of it we were fighting over the scraps.
One of my favourite things to do in this restaurant is to sit outside with one of their delicious chocolate desserts an excellent coffee and a pack of smokes and watch Glasgow. I would highly recommend...
Read moreIt's restaurant's policy that a person has to be sat at the table to be able to drink outside. I doesn't feel right though that 2 women who are standing and sipping at the table outside that is missing a bunch of chairs are told off by security like some troublemakers, when a big group of grown-up men are absolutely fine to gather all the chairs they can get from beer garden and move them to one corner and even to grab one from the INSIDE of the pub. Is there no person limit per table? As far as I'm concerned 1 of those 3 scenarios playing out would be fair treatment: 1) a man is told to return the chair inside and ends up in the same situation as me and my friend - has no chair so can't drink outside and has to return inside, 2) we are offered to grab 2 chairs from the inside like this man did, 3) we are left alone because there is no easy, suitable or fair solution. Instead, I've been told by security that these men are together and they're ok sitting like they do, because it's clearly too much hassle to intervene with a bunch of men and all too easy to get 2 females in check. Your drinks are excellent, but my love for this place has been degrading for some time now and that was nail to the coffin. When it was good, it was excellent, but that's in the past for me now. I only stopped for 1 cocktail, couldn't resist my all time favourite, I would do that whenever I'm nearby. I planned to stay there no longer than 15-20 minutes. Didn't expect that would be enough time to disappoint me...
Read moreI'm literally writing this on my way home on Saturday. on Friday night around 1:30am when i was in the queue to get drink there were a woman and guy behind me trying to jump front of me, and the woman without any respect told me that I have to let them to get drink, when I didn't they start to harassing me by pulling my belt and etc. I told the waiters and they were really helpful as always (they are so friendly) suddenly one of the bouncer called me out and talked to me about the issue but the tall bouncer which he usually stands in the entrance told me I should have known how to treat Scottish women and let them jump front of me if they ask and trying to tell me that's not a big deal. at the night after when I was in the queue again the same tall bouncer didn't let me in because of last night and I told him what kind of problem? that I didn't do anything and I didn't even talked to them and just called you to solve the problem!! he wasn't even listening to me and start to shouting at me when i was talking to him politely. he absolutely destroyed my night. many people know me there and I never made any problem, I was the person who dance and buy lots of drinks and always introduced there to my friends specially girls considering that, more than 80% of the people in there are usually mens. he was literally being racist to me. there is camera record and the waiters that...
