Showa Coffee House — Restaurant in Scotland

What a lovely addition to the Lerwick culinary scene! We came in for a late lunch here and weren’t disappointed. The pancakes were delicious, fluffy and melted in your mouth. We also got two rolled omelets which were both delicious as well. You can tell that the food here is fresh and made ready to order, making it just that extra bit more special! This does mean that the wait is slightly longer than it would be at a standard coffee house but it’s worth it. I would also advise to come earlier than we did as they sell out fast. A highlight of our Shetland visit was stumbling upon Showa, chatting with the super sweet owners, drinking perfectly prepared tea, and feasting on those oh-so-jiggly soufflé pancakes (they’re worth every second of the wait). It’s been over a year and we still talk about them. Like a lot. Attempts were made to track some down in Canada and even recreate them at home, but no one does it like Showa. Delicious Souffle Pancakes from the loveliest, most welcoming café owners. Showa is a great experience and I highly recommend visiting.
