What a wonderful little place!! I’ve been to lots of places in Glasgow area, and this place is really up there as one of the best. Me & my fiance tried to go two weeks ago as a walk in but they were fully booked on a Thursday night, which to me made me think it must be good. So today we called up and pre booked to ensure a table for 3pm. First of all, the place is very clean & got a nice cozy atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable, and portions are great sizes. As i am vegetarian and my fiance a big meat eater we had looked at the menu before hand to make sure it would accommodate us both and it very much did. I felt totally at ease double checking with the waitress what was vegetarian and what was not, she was more than accommodating, even came back up and said if I want any meal with no meat in it the chef can do it. The other waitress on duty was very friendly and accommodating as well. There is parking behind the restaurant but also on the street across from the establishment which is not a long walk at all. We did order a lot as we were celebrating our 9 year anniversary, so we asked if we could take the rest of it home which was not a bother, I let my mum try the pasta I had took home with me and she said it was delicious. I’m pretty sure the whole family will be visiting some time soon. Considering we have been staying just 10 mins from the restaurant for 6 years and never been I wish we had sooner. Always best to call up and pre book a table as it’s a very much in demand place. Thank you for a...
Read moreThis was a first time visit for a family birthday meal and it was excellent. It was a busy Saturday night and we had thankfully pre-booked a week earlier. The food was very good with Italian not quite my personal favourite but there is something for everyone and the general consensus around the table was that all the food was thoroughly enjoyable. As you can tell from the pics, it looks good!
The staff in particular were excellent! Prompt, efficient service and a pleasant, engaging attitude especially with the kids. First class!
Obviously, I’m going to recommend the cheesecake but the salt and chilli fries were also pretty good as a side dish. Maybe a little more of the gravy-soaked-onions or whatever they were would have made them even better.
Parking wise, there is a very small car park at the back, some space on the side street between the restaurant and train station and the station itself has its own car park which you can use for free.
There is also plenty of street parking on Southbrae Drive where you can safely cross at the traffic lights if needed.
Looking forward to...
Read moreI've been here a few times but was disappointed with my most recent visit. I ordered a salad which was so dry it nearly choked me and there's no way the chef wouldn't have known that the salad was disastrously underdressed. Also, the cocktails I ordered were not anywhere near as described e.g. The mojito tasted like water, not of mint, not of sugar. And it's very disappointing considering the price charged for them. You are essentially stealing people's money when your staff can't make a cocktail anywhere near to what is asked for! The waitress was pleasant but there was a sense of passive aggression which was evident after we finished our meal; a 'hurry up, I want home' attitude which is not good, especially when you consider the great places you can eat and drink past 8pm nearby.
Train your staff to make cocktails, not random watery drinks. Train your staff to be pleasant at all times; by allowing your staff to put customers off staying later, you are basically kissing goodbye to potential profits and a...
