What a BRILLIANT little gem! Everything was made to order, and executed with a level of skill far beyond what one might expect in a small, coastal town on the west coast of Scotland.

Perfectly moist, intensely flavoured Albondigas (meatballs) that melt in your mouth? Check.

Proper Pan con Tomate (Pan de Catalan, on the actual menu) that is garlicky enough to ward off any unwanted Hogmanay kiss, but still deliciously tomato-y? Check.

Crispy fried squid (rings only) that appear too pale until you take a bite and realize that Chef cooked the squid expertly and are actually perfect once you crunch in? Check.

I want this review to encourage patrons on the food alone, but... It would be extremely remiss of me to not comment on the special pricing.

The tapas are priced on a sliding scale, from £4 each on Tuesdays, to full (still ridiculously low) at peak evening time.

Go. Seriously. If you're a tapas-lover or tapas-curious, you will enjoy your food. If you like meatballs, you will enjoy your food. I can't answer to the paella as this was supposed to be a quick snack, but I have complete faith in the kitchen.

Wine list is well-curated and small, with a very respectable selection of sherries, cavas and Riojas.

TL;DR: This is a tapas restaurant in Scotland. Come for the amazing food, even more amazing prices. Don't come here looking for 100% authentic...

Atmosphere was really nice, a small quaint setting.. cosy, and spanish music in the background. Big thumbs up.

Service was good, the waitress was lovely, and couldn't fault the Front of House.

Unfortunately, this is where it ends. The food was very poor!!

The majority of it was burnt, and over cooked... the seabass was tasteless, the only thing that was OK was the mushrooms in a creamy sauce but even then, the croutons were burned. Although wanting to give them some feedback, the manager seemed to have little English and dont think it would be fully understood. They then were putting people in the "Bar"... this area was no bigger than your average porch area, so had people sort of climbing all over you. These people were apologising to us and felt awful that they were intrusive of our space.

The bill was £94. Food was £67. Honestly, not worth it.

We will admit, we are tourists and have been to many tapas places as its one of our favourite cuisines. I think if your from Largs or from around this area, this is probably the best tapas you'll know, so hence it's good reviews. But, honestly.. we found it a...

Can't praise Tintos enough, I wanted a seafood paella for one which wasnt on the menu tonight but the waitress (Kelly) asked the chef (Michael) if it was possible and not only did i get my paella I got the best seafood paella I've ever had!!! The squid was exquisite!!! Perfectly cooked, soft and delicious and there were lots of kingprawns and fish, all the tapas dishes (mixture of meat and fish dishes ) were delicious , the wine was lovely and very reasonably priced and the desserts. . . well. . . I dont normally like desserts but I'll go back time and time again for the churros, my husband had the tinto tinto and i honestly felt like i was with my 6 year old nephew watching the joy on his face! Will definitely be back, especially as the staff were...

There are a great range of choices for tapas on menu: salad, bread, vegetables, seafood and meat. We chose six tapas for two people, and the foods are excellent, especially seafoods. Mussels are sweet and juicy, the mussels are slightly bigger than what you can find in supermarkets. Mussels in white wine, garlic and butter sauce give you a rich flavour. Deep-fried calamari is also another lovely dish. You can tell the seafood here is really fresh and the quality is very good. For vegetarian choice, I love the deep-fried aubergines. They look like tempura in Japanese dish. Yet, the taste of the aubergine in Spanish style is a bit salty, but eating with honey is quite a tasty combination. Admire the efforts of the chef and the lovely service of the waiters.

Food was cooked to perfection, flavourful and fresh. Albondigas were particularly tasty. Also recommend the coley fritto, garlic Mushrooms and the manchego crochettas. Staff are lovely and friendly although a little too slow to be characterised as attentive. Atmosphere is so friendly. Table layout is cosy and your neighbouring diners can often join in the chat, which if feeling sociable, is so lovely. High recommend.
