We popped into The paddle steamer for a coffee to pass some time and were we glad we did I checked the menu and couldn't believe the prices, I even said to the manager that the prices were the cheapest around, after our coffee we went back to our caravan In wemyss bay but as soon as 4pm came we were in the car and back to Largs for a dinner and a pint and not only was it cheaper tham most my pint only cost about £1.52. We went back the next night for another dinner and on the Sunday I had a breakfast and couldn't believe I managed to eat it all, I even asked the waitress what kind of link sausages they were and she said they were Lincolnshire so I had to get some when we got home. Tasty. I'll be heading to our local Wetherspoons in Livingston very soon for another of their breakfasts. Top food, top staff, top location just sit back and watch the ferry leave the harbor AAAAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++++

Look, it does what it says on the tin. If you want value food, served quickly, by very friendly staff, then this is the eaterie for you. There are no pretensions, no airs - except the raw west coast draft emanating in the door when opened. You can download their App and order and pay for both drinks and food - and hey presto it appears in double quick time. A great location, right on the sea front with big glass windows looking into the ferry harbour and across the famous water. Great prices too. I enjoyed the free coffee refills. Definitely worth a visit even if only to take the Largs sea airs. I visited on a Thursday evening around 5pm and it was super busy - even though the place is huge, it was not immediately easy to sit down somewhere, but this may also have been seasonal in December. Well done for a slick operation with no frills.

This is a very large Wetherspoons. It is warm cos it has a wonderful central floor wood burning real fire. Food is no different to any other Wetherspoons. Today we had breakfast followed by Vanilla ice Cookie Crunch. On a wild windy day, it was nice to enjoy the comfort of the fire. Another plus is the Unlimited coffee refills Today i enjoyed a Mocha followed after a while by a Cappuccino. Definitely a superior Wetherspoons. Most coastal branches are better than Glasgow City with one exception Saltcooetts.😱 Dinner tonight on 7/3/24,after ferry crossing from Cumbrae. I have made my case for this Spoons before. Very busy on a cold night tonight. Food was really good. We had a variety of dishes( see pics). As always, great value in this age of outrageous pricesšŸ˜‡

We had the unfortunate experience of thinking we could try and cheer my father up on his and my mother's 1st wedding anniversary without my late mother. It would have been their 47th wedding anniversary however she sadly passed away in February of pancreatic cancer.

As a family we booked a wee caravan week away for him to surround him and help him through what is such a difficult time.

Last Tuesday the 23rd of July we attended this restaurant as their choice of food for a celiac was good. However when my sister chose what she wanted from the Gluten free menu I was told at they didn't do that and to go to the big menu on the touchscreen. We did and almost everything on the menu was not available, we were told that was only available "down south"?? When she asked for a chicken meal, the choices were rice, mash or chips, she asked for mash and they said they had no mash. They said they had chips and she asked are you sure they are Gluten Free and the server went away and came back and said no, you can have rice, but she didn't want rice. All she could have was chicken wings.

When the food came out the order was wrong, my sister ended up with a buffalo style sauce on her chicken and 2 sides of chicken wings which she was told were normal chicken wings and that they were gluten free anyway. The face on the lady serving the food was pathetic and her attitude down right rude.

My dad asked for his steak well done and it was rare. They said they would take it and get him a fresh one, however we had all finished our dinner and 20 minutes later my sister had to go and ask where his dinner was.

They refunded my sisters chicken but offered nothing for my dad's meal that he had to so long after all of us, we were out for him, but this made the day sour.

This restaurant only seems to want to sell drinks, it took a long time to get 2small tables that we had to push together and squeeze onto. There were individual couples sat in tables of 8, just having a drink so that they could sit on the waterfront. That was the case on every table at the window, and the booths around the side. Seems that food is second to drink in this restaurant.

Not one of us would enter a...

Was in this pub today travelled 20 miles. Was greeted at door by a young member of staff saying due to technical details no meals were being served teas and coffees/ drinks only. I was with my wife and 9 month old grandson. I said teas & coffee is ok as needed to change & feed baby. So sat down ordered on app a tea & coffee. Drinks came started to enjoy our tea & coffee also my wife went to baby changing area to change baby I was sitting when a female member of staff approached my and asked for the 3 of us leave almost immediately as they were not serving meals so my baby was not welcome. Did not get to feed baby was so embarrassed for my wife and grandson. I’m sure they should have told me that baby was not welcome at entrance when I was greeted. They wait till I have ordered and payed for drinks and in the middle of drinking them I’m so angry with myself for just being pleasant and nice at the time and we left with no fuss. This was at 10:00 am in the morning shame on you the management staff att weatherspoons Largs u must have been speaking about us and doing your abrasive actions ready to pounce on us . Will never never be back in your establishment again. The following day I did call this pub and spoke to the manager and let him know the way we were treated he did say he wasn’t aware of this and it shouldn’t have happened. He would look into it so I gave him my number to call me back once he spoke to his staff. Guess what 3 weeks later still waiting on manager to call me back it doesn’t surprise me at all . Not good management skills at the paddle steamer Largs.update a year on from this horrible day and manager still hasn’t called back.also kept my promise and not been back in this...

Usual good Wetherspoons food, rubbish service from two members of staff one being the manager! Seems to be one rule for one table and not another! Ordered a glass of water for myself to the waitress that was passing, maybe a good 30/40 minutes I reminded her and she smirked and said 'oh do you still want that.' Finally recieved our water and ordered our desserts. Desserts came and the mini cookie dough was lovely but had been microwaved too long so parts were far too hard, to which the metal cutlery could not cut through. I ordered the apple crumble this came and the custard has separated, the waitress that 'forgot' about my water delivered this and almost seemed annoyed that I had said about my custard. She asked do you want another one to which I replied well yeah. A new one was ordered and delivered by the manager which i was informed by her that it is natural for custard to have a skin on top, this was not what i sent it back for though! I sent it back as the custard had separated not because it had 'a skin's' manager was very rude and not helpful at all. To add to the complaint a gentleman that was in my group of friends got ID'd twice? Fair enough once drinks ordered through the app. Then the manager came over and id'd the full group! Even though the one person who was drinking alcohol had already been id'd and the member of staff who did this was happy. This was also before 7pm. The manner that she did it was all wrong, very...
