I visited today and will say that I stood waaaay longer than needed standing next to the ground coffee not one person asked if I needed assistance. There was two staff members on so I stool at the coffee counter. I waited a while and still not one person even acknowledged me to say hello, I will be with you in a moment.
I then asked about their coffee and was told they only have ground coffee, I asked if they had pods which I was surprised they hadn't. I then said I had an Nesresso machine did they perhaps have the reusable pods and I could buy their coffee and put it in the pods, still no. I think with the rise in capsules and coffee machines Whittards is missing a trick but also you really need to acknowledge a customer when they visit the store especially when it's such a small outlet and it's not...
Read moremember of staff was incredibly rude, "you do know the samples are for if you want to buy?", how on earth am i supposed to know if i want to buy if i dont know what they taste like!
ontop of that i was told more than 3 times by the same member of staff that i needed to order at the tea bar if i wanted served!, all i was doing was looking at the menu!, based on how they spoke to me earlier its as if they didnt want me or my friends custom.

Read moreThe Whittard of Chelsea in Glasgow Buchanan Galleries is a tea shop that my partner and I visited and we loved the free samples of the different teas we could drink. I quite like the fruiter teas as opposed to the bitter tea (well, at that time until my taste has done a 180 and now I'm the opposite) but at that time I quite enjoyed the blackberry tea as it was just the right amount of sweetness. We bought a pack that went down a treat when we went home. I remember the staff here were lovely and answered all my tea-related questions....
