We wondered why Toni Macaroni next door was pretty much full and Zizzi was almost empty. Now we know why. We ordered 2 pizzas which were the worst pizzas we have ever eaten. The bases were thin and made from a very messy dough and the cheese and toppings were almost non existent. I asked for my margherita without basil but the there was hardly any cheese on either of our pizzas. There were two waiters and people started flooding in (probably because Toni's next door was full). The two waiters were working really hard but they definitely need more Staff. Two tables across from us ordered prawns on hanging skewers and the prawns looked so insipid I really hope those customers didn't get undercooked prawns as they would have been really sick last night. £37 for 2 pizzas, 1 coke and 1 water - not bad value for money on a normal day however we felt this was an absolute rip off for such rubbish pizzas.

Zizzi in Canary Wharf was our go-to place to eat mid afternoon and late at night and here in the Silverburn shopping centre the menu is still looking good. I'm glad it's still open. Zizzi: Forget the 'on the house' Pasta Chips. They are tasteless! The earl grey tea and coffee was good while waiting for a tasty Rustica Gamberone & Chorizo - a thin pizza with chorizo ham and prawns (in case you thought there might be gambos). I wish I could remember that the coffee I like is called mocha, not mochaccino (or some such name). Mochaccino is espresso with milk and I like the version which is hot chocolate plus coffee!

The food we started of with the garlic bread and balsamic onion and mozzarella, if you haven't tried this you absolutely must👌. I then had Strozzapretti Pesto Rosso which was also a winner. The service was good for what it was though they were understaffed, however the guy could have made his life a whole lot easier by pointing out that you can scan the QR code on your table card and place you food and drinks order through your phone, something to note if you are visiting you can also pay the bill thought your phone.

Visited at 1pm on afternoon of Wednesday 11th October. We were met by the manager who advised it would be a 20 minute wait for food. Accepting this we took our seat and ordered a starter and main. Our starter arrived around 20 minutes later. After an hour I approached a waitress to advise we still hadn't received our main course. She said she would find out and let me know. After another 5 minutes we decided to get our jackets and leave. We were told at that point our pizza was just about to go in the oven. We were given apologies that they were unexpectedly busy. To me the resteraunt was at about 60 to 70% full. I asked how they ever cope on a weekend as this was only a Wednesday afternoon. I asked to speak to the manager who told me she has advised me they were busy as we were seated but I reminded her we were advised of a 20 minute wait for food, that was all. In our hour or so there we were never asked if our starter was ok or if we required any more drinks. The manager told us if we were unhappy then not to pay which we didn't. We had intended to have a nice lunch and do a little shopping before collecting kids from school but through our experience our trip to silverburn was wasted. I have been to various Zizzi around the country and have always enjoyed the food but our experience has left...

After waiting 15 minutes from being seated, we had to ask for someone to serve us despite the restaurant not even being that busy. The waiter was rude and abrupt as if we had disturbed him. We waited over 30 minutes and never even received our drink nevermind our food!

We then had to catch the attention of another member of staff to ask why we hadn't received our food or drinks. They scurried about trying to find our order, but surprise surprise, the waiter who took our order hadn't put it through. I was out for a catch up with my sister and she had my nephew (2 years old) who had become restless by this point as he was ready for some food.

An apology was offered from the girl who had to try and rectify the situation, but the man (didn't catch his name, but bald incase anyone reads this from your company) avoided any eye contact and had no intention of apologising. We left the restaurant 45 minutes after being seated with no food and not even a drink thanks to your rude,...
