Very disappointed. When we arrived everything was fine ordered my starters, mains and drinks. Starters came to the table and were very nice. A couple of my muscles tasted a bit funky but the over powering taste of garlic took care of that! My youngest son got the kids chicken and chips. The chicken was dry and he took tomato sauce to dip his chicken in(he doesn't normally take tomato sauce, he only ate half of it and his brother ate it with his pasta sauce). We ordered another drink for my son (which didn't arrive until we were almost finished our mains). The food came out fast and hot, we were given the food and the server walked away! No "can i get you guys anything, salt pepper"? Or even an "enjoy your meal", nothing, had to wait till I got the girls attentions to say "hey can I get mayonnaise salt and pepper?". My chicken burger was bland and I added 2 portions of mayonnaise to try and give it some flavour. I went to the toilet and the ladies was locked so I went to the disabled toilet and it wouldn't lock. So I washed my hands and went back to the table. I was asked if I wanted a dessert, i said no. The rest of the table ordered something. I was over it at this point and when the bill came the girl stood at the bottom of the table never said a word, no small talk. Very disappointed 😞 this was a birthday treat, everyone else at the table were happy with there meal and had a dessert which I didnt . When I called the number on the web site, I spoke to Carol who couldn't care less!! Transferred me to the restaurant and I spoke to a manager, Declan who seemed genuinely sorry. This is our first time in tony macaroni and also first restaurant experience since lock down. Over all very let down!

I have been going to good ol' Tony Macaroni for years, but I think this may be my last visit. That's not to say the food has gotten worse or anything, it's still about the same quality as before - not amazing, not terrible but just good overall. The issue is that prices have gone up significantly over time and I'm not sure it's quite worth it anymore. They've even started charging for extra chilli oil (?!). The staff were welcoming and treated us well, and inside it's a nicely designed Italian restaurant. Particularly like the stone pizza oven that's clearly visible. I would recommend a visit if you haven't tried it though, this is simply my humble opinion.

We had a long wait for both courses, the server seemed to have no knowledge of items not available until after order taken. There was little or no interaction from server at all, I was left without a drink for quite a bit. It was only because our mains came out that I had the opportunity to ask for another drink. The portion size of the chicken risotto was awful, certainly not worth the ÂŁ12.50, maybe half of that! Such a shame cause it's been a while since my husband and I have had the chance to properly eat out together and it wasn't a good experience. I won't be back in a hurry.

I have previously reviewed this place as one of my go to places to eat in silverburn. The food was always good and good value and staff was always excellent.

Last few times i have been here the food has shrunk in size and very bland. The staff was shockingly slow. There is a few female staff (i think 1had fair/blond hair and another dark hair, could be a manager/supervisor ) that could be new as ive not seen them much before. It must of been a couple months now since i was last in but these girls jst did not want to be there. We were sat down and took a long time for anyone to come get or drinks or food order. I had to wave them down, in which i was told she would come back. The restaurant wasnt busy at this time and i could see her doing things that did not seem that needed to be done right away. Eg she went over to the bar area and talked to another girl for about 5 mins laughing and seemingly chatting about things other than work. Walking about, and just generally seemed to be avoiding attending to the customers. A few tables i can see were waiting for service too. Had to wave her a second time and even that, no apologies. Its as if i had done something bad and her purpose was to make our experience the least enjoyable possible. I have no idea how else to describe it.

One of the other girls, i can tell were doing the littlest possible and then i seen her rush to get her stuff because her shift was finished. Never have i seen staff (these 2 girls) so 🤷 not care about their job. I really dont have any other words!!

Used to be always busy here but i have noticed less customers every time i walk by.

Used to come very often for lunch but this place is no longer my favourite choice in the centre. Staff dont usually make me feel strongly about a place, as long as the food was good, i dont really think staff determined my experience much but this time it really did. And as i mentioned earlier, food i had was bland and small compared to before.

I had previously given this place a 5 star review, but google only allows you to review a place once, so i felt the need to delete my old review.

As a previously very regular customer, i can see something has definitely changed. The staff in the kitchen must be different coz the food has went from excellent to well below average. The waiting staff i have experienced last couple times should be sacked. Whoever is managing the place now should really look at the customers comments in the recent months otherwise this could be the next place to close in the centre.

Much more variety of food choices now in silverburn and i am not rushing back...

Not up to the usual standard I’ve experienced from this restaurant like missing all knives when the meal was ready and normally we would be given small tumbler with a slice of lemon for my bottle of still water. Instead we got large pint sized Coca Cola glass beakers filled with ice.

Service wasn’t as pleasant as before. Felt as if She didn’t want to be there. Asked about the reward points in which the menu stated the staff will be very willing to help. The waitress responded with “yes you just go online and it’s easy like filling any other form...but if you need my help I can give but you should be able to do it yourself”. Ok. Sry for asking I’ll do it myself lol which was fine but a more subtle response would have been better.

Food went down well apart from a couple of mains. My wife orders the same linguine scoglio every time she comes here but this time it was very bland with her favourite white clams missing. My main of the salmon with the blueberry sauce was a mystery. I would not recommend that dish at all.

The kids ice cream came in large paper cups with a scoop of ice cream half way down into the cup and the sundaes were prepared as lazy as one could possibly imagine, nothing like a nardinis sundae I’ve had here before in the exact location not so long ago.

Now the real issue and the reason why I wrote this review is when I decided to inform the management of the dip in standards of one of my favourite places I like to eat. After getting his attention he immediately showed impatience when he threw down his coin bags as he was cashing up as if to say it was an inconvenience for him and after my complaints he then explained that the “staff hadn’t changed” and that “he does what his boss tells him to do” and there was nothing wrong with the sundaes “there is ice cream, sauce and cream...”. I was so disappointed with the response that I just laughed, repeated what he said to me and said “ok thx”.

I may still consider this place in future but I wont be going back for awhile till they clean...

Sad to say this is by far the worst meal we have ever had. We are easy to please but the food and service here was beyond bad. First we were given the wrong food, it wasn't too much of an issue in itself as it was quickly changed.....however, the pasta was absolutely tasteless with big hard rubbery bits of chicken, no seasoning and barely a drop of sauce. The garlic chips were normal chips with a spoonful of processed garlic dumped over the top , completely disgusting. I also have no idea how you can mess up a pizza but it resembled something I imagine I would find at the chumbucket in bikini bottom. Taking a bite to get a large lump of processed minced garlic was the last straw. I believe people should have the chance to put it right and generously thought maybe the chef was having an off day, called over the waitress (who had avoided our table for about 20 minutes) to tell her, she then said "well it looks like you are eating it", (one bite?) to which I replied that "you can see we havent". She then got huffy and said well I can't do anything, you'd need to speak to the manager. I said OK and she then proceeded to say what, you actually want to speak to the manager? I replied I did. 10 minutes later the manager appears, I explain about the food and she says well other people have eaten it tonight and didn't complain. She then asked if we wanted dessert 🙄 and said i will get your bill. Completely disgusting customer service and completely disgusting food. The table next to us also sent their pizzas back saying they tasted awful. I totally regret trying this place and have absolutely no idea how they are still in business. No replacement offered, no apology. Did deduct one pasta dish after I pointed out the rubbery chicken a second time. Don't waste your money, the restaurants around it serve far nicer food and have better...
