I went to Tesco tonight. The time was 11:54pm, 6 minutes until the store closed. I was in a panic because I just started my period and had no period products at home. I got to the shop door and although there was 6 minutes remaining for the store closing, it was locked. I seen through the window that there were workers and customers in the store so I knocked onto the window where a security guard was stood. I asked if he could let me in as I needed to pick up period products as I have none at home which was going to take me no more than two minutes. He said no and that he didn’t lock the door, it was the manager. I asked if he could call the manager over so I could speak to him and he said we would have to wait for him to come to us. The manager then walks past, clearly hears the conversation and knows I want to talk to him but instead AVOIDS eye contact with me and says “shut the door” to the security guard. This has caused me so much distress as I have now had to come home without any period products as there are no stores open nearby me. As a woman, we NEED period products for hygiene reasons. It’s a necessity. It would have taken me TWO minutes to run to the aisle, run back to the tills and pay. I will not...
Read moreWant in to do my shopping a security guard followed me and then falsely accused me of being banned from the shop because i “look like someone” this is unfair as i have a child i stated and complied multiple times that i don’t know who is banned i’m not them, they knew there name and i showed my ID and they still persisted it was me. They then told me to “hurry up and do my shopping then get out of the shop” this is so disrespectful from the staff and security as i done nothing wrong and was shopping for food for my house. i will be going up very soon to talk to a manager because i am not tolerating this disrespectful behaviour towards me for simply dressing similar and having short haircut to someone i’ve never met. and even through my compliance and it was even me who walked in there direction because i saw them follow me since i walked in. i go here almost everyday for food and other things. i am a loyal customer but i will not be disrespected and falsely spoken about. if they’d jusr said “sorry we got it wrong” that’s completely fine but it was the disrespectful attitude and then the security brushing me off when i went to ask further about an accusation AGAINST me. will be going up soon. to...
Read moreVery poor customer service. I use scan and go and today the scanner crashed part way through my weekly food shop. It is not the first time this has happened. The response was the same on both occasions. " It's not our problem". Well who's problem is it!??? Told to start scanning all my shop again. No support from staff. I ended up walking out leaving a trolley full of perishable goods, which they will probably just put back on the shelves having dealt with it hours later since there was very little staff members in the store. Don't be surprised if you end up with food poisionibg from shopping here. Not letting this happen to me again. Tesco Silverburn, absolutely shocking!! I did shop here every week. Even with the ridiculous rises in prices and the sly 'let's put out all the stock with crap dates on it so they have to come to store more often and they will inevitably spend more'. And we can't be bothered stocking the shelves so you have to make do with what is there. The general public are busy people, so a weekly shop should be just that, weekly! There should be choice. If I didn't want choice I would go to Lidl or Aldi and pay less for the privilege. Goodbye Tesco,...
