Doner Shack Silverburn — Restaurant in Scotland

Shockingly bad service. Waited 45 minutes for a simple doner wrap before I had enough. The manager had assured me multiple times, about 20 minutes in, that it would only be 3 minutes and that I could sit down and he'd bring it. I might add that he left me and many others standing for over 10 minutes while he seemingly just walked around. I then wait another 5 minutes and nothing was to be seen so I go to check again. He again assures me a few minutes and I could sit, he then brings over a massive tray of food that isn't even close to a simple wrap. He then says it'll be another few minutes. Another 5 minutes pass and I then go check again and am met with him only starting the wrap as I get to the counter. By this point I'd had enough and just wanted food so I asked for a refund and the smarmy little manager who was clearly in over his head seemed offended and proceeded to hand me a fist full of coins despite me paying by card. Overall new management training is needed and I wouldn't waste my time with it. Just wait the extra time for one of the other restaurants because you'll end up waiting that anyway and it'll save stress and annoyance. I might add that the manager should be sent back to being an assembler and should actually observe how a proper fast food...

So yeah first time here since it’s relaunch and new menu options & yeah sorry but it’s failed to meet expectations. I browsed the menu for an option and there is enough to choose from however the pricing, premium prices for these types of food items. Actual big name restaurants around this view offer far greater food at a much more reasonable pricing factor. Moving on to the actual food I bought a peri peri chicken shawarma box… I was massively let down the portion was not for for the price, it came in a large rectangular container and was 1/3 full. There was no taste of Peri Peri there’s was what looked like a fixating on the small portion of fries, it had some form Of cheese sauce, why I have no idea and the real disappointment was the shawarma… I have seen more chicken on a chicken less meat free option at the supermarket. A Shadow of the Original Dönerhaus

After seeing a teaser on Instagram hinting at the return of some classic Dönerhaus kebabs, I was excited to see if the old magic was back. Sadly, it wasn’t. What I found was a bland, uninspired imitation of what used to be a standout kebab experience.

The meat lacked flavour and tasted cheap, with none of the freshness or quality Dönerhaus was once known for. The so-called "Shack sauce" is a poor imitation of Big Mac sauce—overpowering and out of place, masking what little taste the rest of the meal had. To make matters worse, the prices are steep for what feels like subpar fast food.

Overall, it was a huge letdown. If you're hoping for a nostalgic taste of Dönerhaus, this isn’t it. Save your time and money—this version...
