The first two times we have been to the real Greek the food was great and the service was amazing. However we went in a few weeks ago and service was poor and food was cold this was swiftly fixed and today we thought we would try again. This was the worst mistake we made. We ordered an array of food and whilst eating the the chicken skewers I noted to my husband and mum that they didn’t taste right (I had also given one to my 11 month old). When I cut it open I was absolutely appalled that they were undercooked pink. I took the plate over to our waited and showed him - he was so apologetic and said he would get a manager as I was standing there waiting for him I started getting shouted at by the chef who had assumed I had brought the plate to the pass to show him which was absolutely not the case. The staff member then brought out two ‘supervisors’ who were both adamant the chicken was not undercooked at all but they would refund it both were full of attitude and just not understanding that it wasn’t about the refund but rather the fact i had fed this to my young child and that this was serious and could really cause her to get really ill. They kept saying the chicken was definitely cooked and chicken can look like that sometimes as if I was some sort of idiot who doesn’t make my own chicken and know what undercooked chicken looks like - from the picture you can see straight away the chicken is cooked from the outside but the texture shows that it is definitely undercooked on the inside. Long story short I said I wouldn’t be paying for the meal as I was absolutely livid at being told constantly that our pink chicken was not undercooked and they threatened to call security on us rather than try to sort it out. I will definitely not be back and will also take this further. Place is a joke and should be shut down especially if their chefs and supervisors don’t know what undercooked chicken looks like. UPDATE : Safe to say a couple of days later we have all have all been very ill avoid at all costs.

I don't usually write reviews, having worked in hospitality myself and understanding the demands, but this one is necessary. The food was fantastic, particularly the flatbread and wraps. However, the service was incredibly disappointing, especially on a quiet Tuesday evening. My friend and I waited 5-10 minutes to be seated, followed by over another 10 minutes to even get our orders taken, which was surprising in an almost empty restaurant with only 7-8 tables occupied by couples. This slow service might have been excusable during a busy Saturday, but it was inexcusable that evening. Despite a swift delivery of our food, we were never checked on during our meal, and our drinks were still missing (the glasses stayed on the table completely empty). This level of service might be tolerable in a busy place, but not in such a quiet setting. As the evening went on, approximately 1.5 hours after we ordered, our drinks were still absent, and many tables were left trying to flag down the waiter while he busied himself cleaning and resetting tables for the next day. This became frustrating, as if he had shifted his focus from wiping tables to serving customers, perhaps the 10% service charge would have been justified. In every aspect, the service fell short, to the point where I was tempted to clear our own table and even pour our own drinks. It was also quite a cheek to expect us to pay for drinks we didn’t receive - the other waiting who fixed our bill after explaining we didn’t get our drinks was probably the only good bit about the service! Again, I am very understanding of the shortage of staff in hospitality but there needs to be an improvement made on the customer focus within this environment, too much of the waiters focus was on resetting a few tables & that had an impact on others!

Had a lovely lunch here with my friend on Wednesday, and although we arrived a short time before they had actually opened for lunch service - the waitress seated us and left us to chat - once they had opened the waitress came over with the menus and advised a few thing’s weren’t available. The waitress was obviously very new to the job and seemed a little nervous and after taking our order came back a few times to clarify. We opted for the lunch menu at £11.50 which included a starter, main, side and drink. The food was delicious, and very well presented, and Efeoma the waitress had found her stride by the time we had ordered sweets and coffees. She was quick to bring the bill when asked and explained that the service charge added was optional, I chose to give her a cash tip and then paid the bill by card. I didn’t check the bill properly at the time which is my fault entirely - I was too busy chatting to my pal and it was only later when I got home when I looked at it properly I realised that I had been charged for an extra lunchtime special. I’m sure if I had noticed it at the time it would have been rectified but just wanted to warn others to make sure they check their bill.

We went for lunch & the menu is very extensive - maybe even too much for lunch? Anyway the place was virtually empty but it was fairly early so that didn't worry me too much & we'd been thinking of trying it out for a wee while. Despite being virtually empty, the service was really slow from when we said no thank you to the olives & ordered a soft drink each. We didn't order anything too wild: my partner ordered the Moussaka (which is apparently the house special) with a side of fries; I ordered a chicken skewer with a side of a tomato bulgar wheat thing. The food was brought on a 3 tier cake stand type effort. Gimmicky & probably in an effort to disguise the tiny portions! Smaller plates sitting atop slightly larger plates all to give the illusion of a lunchtime feast but it was far from it! The food was decent, it has to be said, though definitely not the best I've had. The slice of Moussaka was so small and in fact I've had a better Moussaka from a Tesco Finest ready meal. The skewer was nothing special, the bulgar wheat tomato thing was OK but it's a poor showing when the tastiest part of the meal was the side of fries! The meal was very over-priced too: £9 for that one skewer which was about 6 inches long with 4 bits of chicken is just ridiculous! I could have mentioned this at the time but i really didn't want to be seen as greedy - even though all I wanted was a fair sized portion relative to the price?! To top this they added an "optional" service charge to the bill?! Cheeky swines! The service was standard at best & we should have been given the option of whether to pay the "optional" charge and not potentially have the embarrassment of asking them to remove it?! We didn't, we paid, we left and will never be back. I'd urge caution when considering this place & wouldn't advise going when you're hungry unless you have plenty to spend on...

Food was nice and considering other places in Silverburn, reasonably priced. Problems arose with the bill however. As I was checking it, the waiter had already put it through and we realised we’d been charged for 3 lunches not 2. Mistakes happen, but how you deal with them makes the difference on whether or not customers return!!! Young woman came over and said only head office can issue refunds, so she’d give us a form to fill in and HO would process it???? We said no thank you we wanted it dealt with there and then. She replied it was company policy and she couldn’t do anything else. I asked for our receipt back and for her to cancel the transaction and reprocess correct amount. Again, not possible , company policy! Then we noticed service charge- on the inflated amount of course - was optional and said we wouldn’t pay that either as we were no longer happy with the service! She replied she was a supervisor not in charge and there was no manager there, so we could take the refund form or the equivalent money in food!!!! Now getting annoyed! Asked for most senior member of staff- head chef- who was apologetic, but said that was correct- only way to rectify errors is to fill in a form and wait for HO response. Now seriously annoyed and said sorry, unacceptable and find another solution! He then said only way was for him to provide refund himself in cash from his own pocket! afraid I don’t feel guilty, we accepted! Supervisor finally arrived with cash (wrong amount)and obviously not at all happy about it!!! Had to ask for the rest, it was now getting silly!!! Such a pity a nice lunch was ruined by poor customer service and a ridiculous company policy- I even believe HO is down south- how long might a refund have taken….. So, If you go- check your bill carefully before you pay...
