We visit Neros at least twice a week. I was so pleasantly surprised by this little handwritten Christmas card this morning. Thank you Caitlin and the team. Management changed not long ago and it has definitely been so much more pleasant to go there staff/service wise since. The new manager used to work at the other Nero in town and i have had nothing but a great experience whenever served by her, she leads by example and it has really shifted the culture of service throughout the whole staff. The only thing i must say is that the place ( downstairs) is in desperate needs for a make over. This is not down to staff but ownership. Southport is a coffee shop town, Neros is located perfectly and conveniently in the middle of town, a refurb would really boost up business and make it so much easier for the team to keep on top of cleanliness. Nevertheless thank you to the team for always welcoming us. Merry Christmas All! Joey, Chris and Mr Kai the cavapoo :)

Paid another visit recently and yet again still a very pleasant Branch. Much quieter than the Lord street Branch, with the added benefit of no passing traffic. So sitting outside is a far more comfortable experience without the worry of being exposed to vehicle omissions. Staff team here are a lovely group of people and a very accommodating lot when it comes to customising an order. Outdoor seating - very pleasant location, and great staff.

It's a Caffe Nero so serves coffee and teas. You can sit outside and view the shabbiness and managed decay of Chapel Street along with its characterful shoppers, buskers and chuggers. Inflation has hit prices everywhere and the elastic is now wearing thin when charged 2.35 for hot water and an admittedly good English Breakfast teabag. When the prices get too high and the elastic snaps though that'll be the end of my high street cuppa.

Oh dear, what's happened here? It's absolutely filthy. I understand why customers prefer to sit outside on Chapel Street rather than in. Dirty tables, worn out laminate flooring, knackered furniture, paint rubbed off walls, litter and cigarette butts blown inside (and ignored), you get the picture! It's so uninviting. Surely this needs a visit from an area manager and a serious refurbishment done, pronto!

We like Nero because the coffee is consistently better then the independent cafes who often serve something that resembles dishwater, not even vaguely tasting anything like like a proper espresso coffee. Nero are baristas and get it right, BUT given what you pay these days to sit in their shops, the surroundings count for an lot, and we couldn't wait to leave. Wipe your feet on the way out! Lord street Nero comparatively much, much nicer... cleanliness, decor, staff, service etc....

This Christmas Eve, I came into Caffè Nero for a warm drink and a snack as a treat for my family. We got mince pies for my son, but a-soon as he put his fork into his pie a hair had been embedded inside with cream covered and dripping off the sides. And the drinks were cold to touch. I really didn’t want to complain due to my social anxiety but I felt I had to. this year has been very difficult for us parents with money and trying to make are kids happy. And all I wanted to do is at least give them a good Christmas this year and with the money I have got from my elders to give them the Christmas they deserve, i went here but I was very...
