With social anxiety , I struggle to go to many places in my own, but Pippins has that atmosphere that is welcoming, with booths that make it feel private and a place to enjoy something to eat, and read without having to listen to the conversations of other diners. The food is well presented and fresh, the cakes are incredibly generously sized, and the full English is very satisfying. Pippins is also one of the last stalwart places that actually supports and is very happy to receive cash as a payment option. I really like it here, and often go by myself, before visiting my mum in her nursing home, and she loved it here too. Great choices, and ideal for fussy eaters, as the food is unpretentious. The only downside, is that it isnât accessible to disabled as it is located upstairs, which was very sad as my mum had to stop visiting as she got more frail, but nothing can be done about this, due to the location, itâs just sad that they canât experience, such a lovely little...

Please don't change an inch of it đ It's so charming and nostalgic, it was a real treat to sit back and take in the atmosphere. The dĂ©cor is just wonderfully wholesome and I can't express what a delight it is to have a waitress take my order with pen and paper instead of faffing around on some tablet!
The staff were friendly, there's absolutely loads to choose from and our meals arrived quickly and were delicious! The children's portions were extremely generous! My eldest son was thrilled to find a model railway magazine amongst the papers to read at the table.
The prices are very reasonable especially for such big portions. We'll be coming back as regularly as we can afford. Can't believe I've lived in Southport all my life and never visited before, we're looking forward to our next...

It is almost like stepping back in time. To me it has a 70s to 80s feel of which gives it that charm. Very relaxed and staff are helpful and chatty. The food on display looks fresh and they have plenty of choice for everyone.
The New York Hotdog does not disappoint. A tasty large hotdog in a fresh baguette with a fresh crunchy salad & chips. The coffee is fresh and there are many different drink options to choose from.
I made a point of not taking a photo of the New York Hotdog because I feel you should go try it for yourselves. Or maybe I will soon as I will be popping back again soon ;)
Overall, Pippins is a delightful, cosy and...
