Grill and Slice Takeaway — Restaurant in Sefton

Waited over 2 hours for the wrong food to arrive, and not a word of apology. I used a local takeaway app and the estimated wait time was an hour. After about 1 hour 20 minutes I called the mobile number on the app and was told it was on its way. This was a blatant lie because it still hadn't arrived 40 minutes later when I called the shop who told me it was finally ready for the driver to pick up and said the earlier man didn't know anything about the deliveries - so why's he in charge of the phone number they give out? It finally arrived 20 minutes later, without a word of apology from the driver, cold and with my schnitzel burger replaced with a falafel burger. I can't bear falafel but at this point I was ready to eat even that. At no point had the estimated delivery time been updated on the app. While I appreciate they may have been busy that night, the time to stop taking orders should come long before that point. Ordered via the Crosby Eats app at 21:00 on a Saturday night. Delivery was ASAP and was advised at 21:50 on the app, which was never updated. At 22:20 I rang the number on the app which was a mobile and whoever answer said to ring the shop, which kind of negates the object of having that number in the Crosby Eats app.

Eventually after 5 attempts spoke to the shop who said it was on the way. Eventually arrived at 22:35. So don't expect delivery on time, especially ially at peak times. Unlike other takeaways, rather than declining orders when they know they're too busy they'd rather keep you waiting.

That said, when the food did arrive it was relatively hot. The fries had a bit too much salt on them, but the crunchy chicken wrap was good. Pizza was okay, tasted a bit plasticky towards the end for some reason. Milkshake (white kinder Bueno) was okay. Wouldnt pay full price but they seem to constantly have 30% off so I'd consider ordering again outside peak hours but never when I'm...

i used to like this takeaway but after tonight ill never eat there again we ordered burgers an some hoisin chicken nuggets and other bits from there collected it got home started to eat my partner took a chicken nugget bit into it and it was completely raw this made her feel physically sick and was sick we binned everything made sure the kids didnt eat anything i took the box of nuggets back as i wanted a refund after a full blown arguement with the man (who had very poor customer service) in the shop i had to ask for the owner who was nextdoor in there shop pitfire after telling him about it they were only willing to only offer a refund for the chicken i was not happy with this and continued to ask for a full refund he said he did not believe me that my partner had been sick so was making out i was lying in the end i got the refund but i will never be eating...
