First ever try on Nando’s.. in Aintree, big busy shopping area. We were hungry, so why not?! Give it a go.
Table for 2, it was easy start. The seater guy didn’t say a word, or asked. At the table we had to figure out how to get foot. Barcode scan, opening a new account on an app and actually ordering online 🤷🏻♂️
It wasn’t as easy as I expected, as I don’t use much internet (out of my interest), especially when I’m hungry and going somewhere personally.
I’ve heard good and bad about this chain. So, let’s turn it back to the basics. The floor was sticky all over, the general tidiness was critical. I know it is not the staffs’ fault but they should keep it up- I guess.
Ordered the food successfully. 2 bottomless drinks. We got the glasses after 20 minutes wait (the place was half empty, not busy!).
Food arrived. Chicken was tasteless, nothing special as I always thought and just above room temperature 🤷🏻♂️. Chips was cold, tasteless. Coleslaw was nice! Corn on the cob was also cold, they gave a piece of butter but wouldn’t even melt on it, so I just had without the butter.
I don’t know what to say… a place who supposed to sell food can’t provide at least 4⭐️ food should shut down immediately… they have nothing else to do only food.
This place today (10 September 2024) served me
2⭐️ food. 1 ⭐️ service (if I don’t check online how to order I’d still sitting there and waiting for someone to ask what am I doing there?!) Staff need communication and cleaning and food preparation training! 2⭐️ atmosphere… dirty restaurant. a colleague in a blue T-shirt was in his street wear in the kitchen (talking to the kitchen staff). Health and safety?!

Read moreMe, my husband and our little boy went here tuesday gone we had gone a little early to avoid the lunch rush,the restaurant only had one other table seated. We were greeted at the door and shown to our seats all was well until nothing else was said nothing about the menus, no have you been before, or would your son like a colouring sheet. No Do you have any allergies? can I help with anything and no information that we would need to go to the bar to order. At this point the female staff member decided that she had something real important to chat about at the bar area with 3 other colleagues. So I went and helped my self to a colour sheet and crayons for my son. I then went up to order my food I stood in front of the till and the guy just stared at me. I was unsure if I was doing something wrong turns out he was just plane rude and very short with his answers although there was noone else in the que. Anyway food was ordered it come to our table very quickly we were very pleased with how fast it was prepared. Just a shame it was lacking any flavour. The red pepper dip was bland. Just roasted red pepper no salt, no pepper no herb or spice or flavour what so ever. The corn was very dry I'm sure chilled and stored from the night before or stored with no lid on. Overall poor service and poor food. I would suggest your team spend more time focused on the guests rather than having a chat around...
Read moreCame at 11.05am and was greeted by a girl (tall, long black hair) who you could tell really did not want to be there. My partner said just before she walked over to us she rolled her eyes as if we were an inconvenience to her. She put the menus down and told us the table number and walked off. Did not bother to ask us the usual questions they do at Nando’s when seating people. I really don’t understand why she is working in hospitality? Her can’t be bothered attitude made us want to leave even before ordering but we stayed anyway. I’d also like to note we were the first customers in and the only customers in yet the table was dirty and I had to wipe it with a baby wipe.We had just placed the order at 11.11am when she came over at the same time and said oh also we don’t have butterfly chicken for another 20 minutes but we can do burgers. I said okay that’s fine we’ve literally just placed the order for burgers anyway. 10 minutes later she come over and says the order will be another 10 mins so I asked if we could at least have the kids meal - this was brought out. We noticed a collection or delivery order had been competed during this time. We were expecting the food to be brought out by 11.30ish. It got to 11:45 and my partner got up to ask where it was which they then said would be another 5 minutes. We left and asked...
