I had an amazing dining experience at Everest Restaurant, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we walked in, the staff, led by the wonderful manager Hasan, made us feel incredibly welcome and ensured our meal was perfect.
We started with four perfectly crispy poppadoms served alongside a vibrant pickle tray, which was a great touch. For starters, the Chicken Tikka was tender and flavorful, and the Veg Samosa was crispy and packed with a delightful filling. The Puri, mild and creamy, was an excellent choice to round off the beginning of the meal.
For the main course, we were treated to a variety of dishes that were all exceptional. The Chicken Tikka Masala was creamy and rich without being too heavy, and the Chicken Korma had the perfect balance of sweetness and depth. The Chicken Karahi was wonderfully spicy, with a robust flavor profile that really stood out.
We paired everything with a range of delicious sides – the pilau rice was fluffy and fragrant, while the mushroom fried rice added a nice touch of earthy flavor. The naan bread was perfectly baked, and the Cheese Naan was simply divine, soft and indulgent.
Every dish was bursting with flavor, and the service was outstanding. If you're in the area, Everest Restaurant is...
Read moreHaving spent a good bit of time researching the best place in Sheffield for a decent Indian meal, I had fairly high expectations and I really wanted to like this place. I left this restaurant absolutely baffled by the positive reviews; this was the worst Indian I have ever had in my life. The first thing I noticed, is that this restaurant is visibly unclean. For example, the mirrors have visible dust on them, and there is a smell of staleness, possibly coming from the weathered old fabric seats. It made me wonder about the hygiene practises going on behind the scenes. The service was overbearing, and one of the servers was actually quite rude. I remained hopeful about the food though, and had my fingers crossed for a pleasant surprise... The food was absolutely abysmal. The Dhal tasted of... Nothing??? Keema naan with no identifiable trace of lamb in it. A meanly portioned tandoori mixed grill, containing the most dry and tasteless seekh kebab I have ever encountered. I don't usually write such negative reviews, but these people should be ashamed of themselves. They surely know the food is dreadful, I sincerely doubt that they would eat the food that...
Read moreMy partner and I visited during Eat Out To Help Out and we had a great experience. Hygiene was taken very seriously and social distancing was enforced with empty tables.
The food was excellent - clearly freshly prepared with interesting flavours and generous portions. Starters were served from a sizzling tray at the table with plenty of extra fried onions offered. The mini platter was not so mini! The only thing I would have changed about the food is that the peshwari naan was very sweet, more like a dessert. The draft Cobra was excellent and fresh. However coriander haters beware - all dishes came with a lot on top, but after picking it off my starter they accommodated leaving it off my main with no problem.
Our waiter seemed quite unhappy. He might have just been overworked because of Eat Out To Help Out! The menu has a lot of options other than the traditional curries but the menu has no descriptions of these items so be prepared to ask what they are.
Overall highly...
