KFC — Restaurant in Sheffield

My first time in a KFC. I went to the self service kiosk as I am familiar with these from similar fast foods restaurants.

I ordered a popcorn chicken meal. I was asked if I wanted Regular (£3.99) or Large (£4.99). Large, obviously. I was then subsequently presented with an almost identical screen asking if I wanted Regular (+£0.00) or Large (+£0.75). I still wanted a large but perhaps it wasn’t as good value as I thought. Now I had to choose a drink. I didn’t really want a drink but I had to choose one anyway. And water wasn’t an option. I chose a cup of tea. Now again it showed me a screen with a picture of the chicken and chips (no tea) and asked if I wanted Regular (£+0.00) or Large (+£0.35). I wondered if this was related to the drink. I tried a few drinks. It was always the same. I thought I’d make it quite clear already that I preferred large, but perhaps this particular kiosk was having a bad day. However, being a Yorkshireman I couldn’t bare to part with another 35p at the behest of a demented KFC self service kiosk, and this I relented and this time only asked for a regular.

Thankfully, this brought an end to the repetitive questioning.

I think I ordered a large large regular popcorn chicken meal, but disappointingly it seemed mostly normal sized. It was however perfectly tasty.

Shameful manager!

After a 45 minute wait for the take away the paper back was clear not strong enough to hold the food, I mentioned this but I was ignored or maybe not heard! I got 5 yards out the door and the bottom fell out of the bag and the food hit the floor.

I returned to report this and the polite young lady went to see the manager. Ten minutes later and I asked the young lady again if anything was going to happen, she went to see the manager again to be told. She needs to see the evidence and clear it up before she was allowed to start to re do my order!!! At this point I had to move the car out of their car park because apparently 1 hour is enough time to get your food and eat it, this is clearly not the case at KFC woodseats.

The only thing that annoyed me was the manager, there was at least 6 people complaining at the point I was there and he never showed his face, hiding in the back room belittling his staff instead of apologising to and reassuring his customers that the problems would be rectified.

5 stars to the front of house shame you have to work with...

Not one to usually post about company's but just a heads up if anyone decides to eat from KFC chestfield I suggest you keep hold of your valuable items (phones,wallets, purses etc) as tonight my friend went into KFC & he forgot to pick up his wallet so he went back in there to ask only to find out a JUST EAT / DELIVEROO Driver has picked it up & haven't handed it in.. when my friend ask the manager to see the cctv footage he say he's not allowed to see it but he knew who took it.. my friend asked who n then said he going to call the police so he rang the police & then were the manager was aware the police are now involved he was then willing to help & gave part of the reg plate.. only to find out the Driver has then been back 2ice to pick up food but still not handed the wallet In that has he's cash & cards & photos of kids inside.. the police came & they aren't willing to do anything about it & now the driver won't come back...!! The driver was driving an Audi A4...!! Jobs worths scum.
